    Power flatspot

OK, tested it this morning, when I manually shift down, I still dont get a surge, so going to take a look at the filter in the tank, as I changed the fuel filter about 1000 miles ago when I did the gearbox oil/strainer change..

    Toyodiy Diagrammes

From the website contact us page:- As mentioned in the news feed, the diagrams are no longer available on this site. Toyota Motor Sales Inc. demanded that we remove them, citing copyright claims. We think this change will not have a significant negative impact on Toyota DIY-ers, it just makes...

    Power flatspot

Hi Grant, It is an auto, and my first suspect was the gearbox, so I flushed the oil, and changed the oil strainer as well, things seemed to improve for a while, but it is doing it again. I did try the manual shift down, but it didnt seems to make a difference, maybe I was going to fast. I will...

    Power flatspot

Hi Guys, My KDJ95 seems to be having an intermittant problem, well two actually, but the worst one first.... It seems that sometimes when I am going downhill at about 30mph and floor the accelerator, sometimes I get no response except a very weak pickup of revs, and other times, it kicks down...

    Steering arm bush replacement

Job done, got my local garage to do it in the end, so total cost was £40 for bushes, and £105 labour to get them fitted - a fair bit cheaper than the £1800 Toyota quoted me...

Hi Guys, I dropped off the planet for a fair while, but I'm back now, and have some advice needed please. The cruiser is creaking a fair bit now when I turn the steering wheel while stationary, and the MOT guys told me that I need the bushes replaces, and I have looked at them, and they are in...

    Knocking noise on tight turns

Hi Chris I'm still adjusting to seeing the white cruiser in your avatar instead of lil blue :-) It's just a clunk on lock to lock - does that make it easier and cheaper

    Knocking noise on tight turns

Hi guys, When I turn full lock (both ways) I get a knocking noise - I assume it could be steering rack bushes or maybe CV joints - haven't greased them for a while, so hopefully that's what it is. Any other thoughts as to what it could be?? Cheers Andrew

Hi Chris, It wasn't me, I don't even know where Berwick is :? Sorry I missed the last meeting by the way - I assume fun was had by all - did Blue pick up any more injuries?

    Aerial mast replacement

Hi all, I'm back in from the cold - well sort of anyway!! I did however score an own goal this morning, took the 'cruiser for a wash, all was going fine, until on the second run I for some stupid reason turned the power on, and the aerial came up just as the rollers appeared, and they sure made...

Do we over-egg our vehicles for Trans-Africa trips?

Hi there Chris, it sure is - I did sort of fall off the planet for a bit - I have a 10 month old baby now and she is quite time-consuming!! :-) I still have the blue 90, not done anything to it except to put the seats back in and take the storage system out. I need to get the storage system cut...

Do we over-egg our vehicles for Trans-Africa trips?

I say this based on the recent exploits of the Oranje Trophy Convoy. A group of 22 vehicles with Netherlands supporters took 10 weeks to make the trip from Amsterdam to Cape town for the World Cup. www.oranjetrophy.nl Some of the vehicles were pretty simple - the idea of doing the trip in a VW...
