I saw this post on eBay and I can't figure out for the life of me what year LC this came from... if it even came from one at all. Do you think it's a rare Emblem?

eBay item 271580406155

Never seen that before, may not be Toyota, did any other manufacturer have a model called a Land Cruiser?

Stude baker did a landcruiser i think. Also a motor bike. Can you post the link chas.

Imagine turning up to Lincomb in one of those.

That Bedford doesn't have the badge posted though, does anyone know the green vehicle next to it?

As a family, we had one converted to a camper, British made in 1947 if that's a clue... answers on a postcard..... or just a post if it doesn't qualify as a hijack.....

In 1954 Chris-Craft, of wooden speedboat fame made a travel trailer (UK translation: caravan) called a Land Cruiser. They only made it for one year and then went back to the boats. Image attached:-

There are not many images on the net so I can't confirm if the emblem was off one of these. The 20th Century saw a proliferation of Travel Trailer/ RV/ Motorhome manufacturers come and go in the US, some only making one-offs so it would be difficult to pin down. Here's a link to waste half an hour on:-

I hate to admit defeat but I think the yanks get the best "men in sheds" award for these creations!

The emblem looks cool so my advice, buy the emblem and hang it in your shed (translation: 10-car garage)

Clive, what green vehicle - can`t see it ?

John

Re-reading my post I wasn't very clear... (I was up early this morning for another flight, posting in the airport has become a recent pastime :icon-rolleyes:). I was referring to the green vehicle in Chas' picture at post #9...

But I wouldn't want to detract from the thread, it certainly isn't a Land Cruiser in any shape or form!
