Lars Andersen: a new (old) level of archery

Jumping to catch an arrow, and re-shooting it back, with accuracy, before he hits the ground...? Quite incredible Chas.

Fascinating clip, even though I'm not naturally interested in archery

I had a very lucky escape at the archery field today, I walked into the unpointy end of an arrow in the target, it punched two small holes in my eyebrow 1/2" lower would have been straight in my eye, just call me Harold.

That's a great video Chas. Thank you for sharing.
Can't get the pic in the last post tho', just a blank square.

It's just a picture of my injury, nothing exiting.

Very cool  and Chas were you trying to out do him by launching yourself at the arrow  nah only joking as you say such a simple mistake can have very serious consequences , glad your ok .

that guys got some jolly large cahooneys there, having someone shoot an arrow at you, then shooting it out the air!

I think that one was probably aimed well clear, but what about the one he catches in mid air and then shoots back, that would need to be shot fairly close. :icon-eek:

can't have been that far off for him to splice it, otherwise he'd have just taken a splinter off. Even if it's a little bit off, thats putting some serious trust in the other guy!

Sorry to hear of your near miss, Chas.

Luck was with you in your bad luck.

Makes you wonder how many mishaps Lars Andersen has had in his career in archery, running and jumping like he does with folks shooting arrows at him :wtf:

Photo loaded OK Chas, it's a BIG photo and a bit scary to tell the truth, serves me right opening it on a 63cm screen :icon-rolleyes:

An expert throwing a wobbler because someone doesn't practice what he himself preaches . Sure there's showmanship and editing camera trickery in the Dutchman's vid but as far as history goes its all supposition , its a tool , a means to an end , and before organized armies took up the idea the methods must have been a very individual thing . The quiver argument makes no sense at all , depends on intent and what's most convenient . Just my opinion , as I see it they may as well be arguing about who invented shoes .

Enjoyed the critique Chas, sensible stuff

BTW, who did invent shoes?
