I seem to remember the loom on the front axle is prone to giving issues and probably now is unobtainable new ...... looms get brittle with age and also wires work harden and get high resistance ..... None of this is a help if you can't narrow down the fault but if the sensors are new the wires...

Can you not just pull the ABS fuse ? On my 96 plate 80 putting it into low range disengages ABS.... If you can simply pull the fuse then leave like that and just put the fuse in come MOT time ?

All these manufacturer woes are in a large part I believe due to the fact that not one person has confidence in any policy on the environment and motoring either being thought out or not subject to sudden change .... that and as others have mentioned even the main dealers or manufacturers often...
