Random images may well not work. Often they're wepp which is not supported. Entirely fair issue. The system should resize them. I'm looking into it. Ha - just errored for me

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

I'll take a look at that too. Thanks. With the layers now in place, it seems to be fending off pretty well. It's "community driven" so has a well curated list of baddies which gets updated every 30 minutes. You're right, there is risk of bad reputation ip being used by normal folk. Had a...

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

I used to have a question - "What's the second word in LandCruiser". It was amazing how many people did not get past that..... I did not think it would work but was amusing. It would seem the last drips and drabs of spam are coming from real people pushing their own goods. Not had any in a...

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

Another step towards stopping these spammers - I get a ton of spam email via the website - usual thing of people trying to sell their goods. I've now created and turned on a feature (back end, so no one will really see it) which will add a permanent block on their IP address. Next step is...

    Dual Battery tray

The 80's batteries are a different configuration IIRC- they're in series to give the starter 24V. Not sure if there is anything special about them over that to manage the charge between them though. American motorhomes - not sure. I am sure they have some dual-battery setup which manages the...

    Dual Battery tray

It could be either way - The factor 120 and 150 "cold-pack" ones are just linked together in parallel to for one big battery. That's by far the easiest and does work well. What it does not do is protect you from dead-battery. If you do it the way you're suggesting, you can run a diesel...

    Dual Battery tray

Not sure if it's the same but I know other cars suffer from it - They remove the bumper to gain access to the lighting harness which is on the CAN bus. From there, they connect their own "do dah" which injects a message onto the bus to either "trust / pair the next key you see" or to unlock...

    Dual Battery tray

From memory, the location has all the mounting points for a tray and I bought a bog-standard tray off fleabay and could get it mounted without much faff. Seeing as the tray is still on my shelf, I never finished the project :) Alternatively, find a breaker with a dual-battery 150 and buy that...

    Notice: Server Upgrade and Migration

AAnd we're back! We're now running on the new server :D It might be a bit slower for a few hours while it finishes building the caches etc but all up and running. If you have any issues or questions, either post here or email me directly.

    Notice: Server Upgrade and Migration

Well, update time - It's taken a while to build the server server as I wanted to change it all around. There's a lot more in the way of security and containerisation which took me on a bit of a voyage of discovery and learning. I _think_ it's all done and working now. I've pretty much...

    Notice: Server Upgrade and Migration

Hi all, Advance notice so you can prepare some conversational topics with your wife ahead of time. In the next few days I will be migrating the website over to a new server. It's been running non-stop on the same server for just over 6 years now and it's time to move it away to a new shiny...

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

Yup, it's affecting a small number of users and I cannot understand why. It should now be good for all. If you're still getting sporadic errors, let me know.

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

There's something odd after the upgrade (why would it have been easy???) - several folk have emailed or messaged me saying they are locked out. I'm working on it now and should be back to normal soon.

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

I found his IP and it had been put in the banned list. It's now cleared so should be good. If he's still seeing it, ask him to clear cookies and all should be well.

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

Ask him to send you his ipadddress please. Send it via dm. That happens if the system thinks you're being naughty and I'm struggling to work out the false positives.

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

I quit facebook a few years ago. It was like divorcing a twisted wife. weirdly, I am one of those too. My daughter snaps her friends. It means nothing to me (other than the literal....)

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

No worries. I'm just stoked it's going all these years later. Domain was bought Feb 2010 after "that other site" owner became a bit of a chop. Cue 14 years on and 3 different versions... we're all still here with loads of new faces too :)

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

This is the issue which you can't really get around. Two main tactics. 1. Use Spamhaus which I do. When you or I report an ip as spam, they note it. Enough reports, they'll mark it as naughty for a period of time. When a new user signs up here, I check them first against Spamhaus. In the list...

Spammers - more done to try and reduce them

I'm sure you've all noticed the spamming folk are having a field day at the moment. There are several protections in place to try and thwart them but some do still get through. Some new things I've added in to try and stop them: blocked certain countries - 9 in total - which do offer nothing...

    Simon Holton - parts

Had a chat to Simon. He's still there but unable to do parts like he used to. Neither able to intro anyone for us at the same scale. Suggested best bet, call up your local parts manager and explain you're from LandCruiserClub and see what happens. YMMV....

    Simon Holton - parts

Simon was moved out of parts. I'll try find him and see if he's around / able to contact someone else. Another option is Marc (in service) at Steven Eagell St Albans. Tell him LandCruiserClub sent you. He'll be able to help. He and Simon worked together and know the club.

Really odd. It's the only way I could get chrome to not show the install option.

Install Land Cruiser Club as an app on computer, phone or tablet

It's because it's already installed. Assuming your new and old phone where both android? When you move over, android moves your apps too. Swipe up on home screen and search for it? Chrome showed the same view as yours. No install option. I uninstalled the app and refreshed chrome. It now...

Install Land Cruiser Club as an app on computer, phone or tablet

It all depends on your browser. If you are using Chrome, there should be 3 dots at the top right (there are on mine). If you're using FIrefox or another browser, could be at the bottom. Not sure if the moto, like samsung, has it's own, poorly implemented, browser?

    Introduction

Welcome! IIRC the 150 was 50mph but, if you're worried about max speed then it might be that you don't need the CD locked? You can lock and unlock while on the move so can "manage" the situation.
