When taking the prop off release the grease nipple and this will allow you to pull the flange off easily as locked grease comes out.
I removed my Viscous Coupling over fear it might seize. Cannot tell the difference. Have to be careful to align the oil pump drive? with grease to hold in place...
I passed my test in 1962.
I bought a Motorcycle advertised in Exchange and Mart. I had a Morris Minor traveller and drove one Sunday Morning from Cheltenham to London to pick it up. Bought an A-Z of London on the way. I don't think there was any traffic at all.
I lost all my SKY recordings when I had to change boxes. I bought David Bowie Glastobury 2000 on DVD. I don't think the quality is as good as the TV recording but that's another story.
I'll clean the old DVD player.
Thanks.
Does the quality of the picture depend on the age of the player? I have a 30 year old player and am thinking of buying a new player to improve the picture quality.
Thanks.
Yes back in the day all you needed was a valid REG plate and insurance. What vehicle the REG was on did not really matter. And MOTORBIKES the biggest "offenders" frames and engines being swapped frequently, but as long as you had a valid REG plate everythin was OK. My neighbour rode his Norton...
With Talk Talk email at the moment. The older half of my inbox has disappeared today. In fact my inbox only goes back 3 months. There were old emails in inbox going back to 2019 which I wanted. My sent emails go right back to the beginning in June 2019 when I first had this computer.
I guess...
Looks like the soft surface of that shell has smudged over the steel body blocking the oil hole.
Not sure what you say the cause is.
The crank pins are very hard so if the soft shell of the bearing has not gone down to the steel then it should be OK.
Also if the crank pin does not show damage...
Changed energy supplier and I had to agree to have a smart meter. A letter arrived asking me to ring them for an appt but I was then told I'm not in an area where they fit smart meters.
Can't understand what has happened to that piston. Looks like seriously high mileage or seriously low on oil at some time. Might be worth getting a used engine. I know 80 breaker might have one and he might have one you can hear running.
That belt looks a lot older than the ones I've taken off mine at 60k miles each.
Getting the head back on is much worse than removing it. I lowered mine on with block and tackle very carefully in place. But the worst bit was doing up all those head bolts. I was knackered. It's 50/50 chance...
No I did not go to my MP. I addressed the letter to:-
Prime Minister,
10 Downing Street,
London.
I got a letter by return saying they had contacted the relevant department.
Hi Traction man. When I bought the land the Land Registry must have alerted them. As you say there is nothing they can do. They say to phone them if I don't need a licence but why waste my time? I will probo write to the PM and say I am being harassed. I wrote to the PM when some Gov Dept wrote...
A few years ago I bought a small parcel of land at the back of our garden. There was an electricity meter there and also a water meter. As I never intended to use them I took their readings for security. Then I started getting bills for standing charges even though I did not occupy the land. I...
Not like the old days when people had a proper education and respect for others.
I have been with Sky since 1993. In a telephone query to them I changed my package. I then got an email with a lot of mistakes in it. I wrote to Sky head office and received a phone call re my letter (I hate that)...
I should look at the rocker holders etc under the rocker cover. When a piston hits a valve the energy is transferred through the rocker to the rocker shaft and its holders, all of which might be damaged.
