As sad as it will be to say goodbye to the big man I'm looking forward to hearing all the...
Hmmm given how low power most of those are and the proximity of your switches to your fuse panel I think you could lose most of those the next time you redesign the layout.
Relays are great if youre switching 20A lightbars and 50A compressors. Most of your loads are 3-5A so as long as they're...
yep - from memory theres a little round hump in the middle of the tank which i drilled out. The instructions below describe the procedure for fixing the flange. Once thats in the sender just screws into the flange.
I like the wema stuff, well built, the gauges look great and the high resolution...
Contraption indeed.. I used a Wema S3 sender which takes about 10 min 10 fit using the tank fitting flange.

Mate of mine just got a couple of these. A nice lightweight option to keep within easy reach.

Hey @LegoCruiser, My truck has that trim and I've never used the third row seats so your welcome to have them.
Cannot part with the middle row as I do occasionally use them.
Would love to have something permanently fitted in the truck but I haven't found anything compact enough so I went a different way. Collapsible bucket, short length of hose and a couple of valves to switch from main tank to the bucket and a conveniently located attachment point that sits flush...
So sorry to hear this Chris and kudos for sharing, I'm not sure I would have the stoic courage to do what you have. For all knowledge, support and friendship you've shared with us here you have certainly earned a few extra rolls of the dice so I hope your doctor's have some better news for you...
I don’t care if he was a founding member of this forum who has made more posts than Wikipedia or gained more like than a Kardashian, there is no a justification for a comment like that.
There are plenty of page here with some proper hot-tempered debate (see the Brexit page) but even when it got...

Same as you @Andy. I tied a bit of rope to the pipe and clipped it to the top edge of the window. This keeps it in place when opening and closing. I think thats about as high tech as its going to get for me. as I wouldn't dare cut into the shell or the fabric.. and mines not even new!
Thought I’d update this thread with the finished install should someone else find it useful in the future.
For location, I went with rear passenger step area as I initially thought. Thanks @Andy for the pics which made it easier to visualise what it would look like when finished. In my opinion...
They are wide - but they are VERY spacious as a result. If I were travelling with a family the iKamper would be a strong contender; easy to set up and take down, spacious and supports an annex for more enclosed dry space.
what @uHu said.... given all the variables that affect panel efficiency its best to be conservative with your estimates.
An alternative strategy for you to consider: If most of your week long stops are going to be at campsites with power then I would seriously consider a charge controller that...
Not sure about AGMs but Lithium batteries have a huge absorption capacity which should be stated on the spec sheet as shown in the sample below. Your limiting feature is likely to be the charge controller rather than the battery! Keep in mind your lithium battery will include an internal...
