    Dogs name need help

Throughout my childhood we had several dogs, one at a time, some male and some female, different breeds, all had long happy lives with loads of outdoor adventures. For some reason, we called them all “Bo” it didn’t signify anything, but as a name it’s as good as any, and they all responded well...

    New 80 owner, Northern Ireland

Oh man, that’s a good looking 80 there Alwyn, great photo but what’s up with the wings? Time mine had another face-lift by the look of yours... Welcome aboard... plenty of helpers on here when you need some advice or moral support.

    2 stroke in the tank

Hi Adrian, can’t really say for your 120, I’m no expert and I don’t know your engine, but I ran with it in my 1HZ 80 soon after I bought it. The engine had been mistreated by the previous owner, and run with an economy weight foot... With some 2 stroke in the oil burner and driving it like a...

Funny how life throws you those little curve balls isn’t it? Ho hum.

Bloody hell Cris, I‘ve not spent as much time on this forum as I used to... now I’m paying the price, one of the tailenders to get this awful news. You certainly are giving it your all, keep it up mate, it works wonders. My sis had the same attitude, and she fought it for 20 odd years, doing all...

There’s a bit of coincidence going on here, took my truck to my trusted welder/painter today, asked him to do what he can to keep the old girl on the road for a few more years, and left him to it. The first 2 photos he sent to me were these... it’s not pretty...

    Sad news

Sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend Chas, especially as it’s hit you so hard. One of the downsides of getting older is seeing those around you fall away. 2020 has gone down in history for the whole world I think as being a bum year because of COVID, but it’s odd that we lost 4...

Yeah, good post Bill, I’m thinking to post up the usual “Comarnic Romania” invite for August 2021. It was so disappointing that 2020 came to nothing because of travel restrictions. Anyway, I can but try... whatever happens. I know it’s a long way here and back, and I guess those that have been...

    went car shopping today..

Late last year I had my rear axle breather block up, couldn’t understand so much oil spray under the truck at the back, or where it was coming from. 10 minutes with my trusted service guys had it diagnosed and fixed with a new breather install, at no charge... Couldnt argue with that now...

    WTF Covid.

One last comment if I may @GOB said: “You presented as fact the theory that China secretly influenced the US election = the definition of a conspiracy theory.” Maybe I did, I said they did, it doesn’t make it a fact. I also said I can’t prove it, but that I’d seen compelling evidence that they...

    WTF Covid.

The truth is @chadr the lawsuits that went before the SCOTUS were either deferred, or they were deemed ‘without standing’ meaning they either put them into a drawer to be opened later (after Biden was sworn in) or they were returned unopened to the complainant, respectively. Bottom line, the...

    WTF Covid.

Well with respect GOB, your statement that it didn’t happen is as strong (or weak) as mine - that it did. What normally happens when there are two opposing statements, neither of which are supported? They’re given equal status until such time as one or the other are proven. I would never dream...

    WTF Covid.

No offence meant, but while all the above might be very clever speak, or part of someone’s thesis of how to assemble 100,000 words without saying anything, my approach to anything like this (it goes for global warming too) is to look at the data. Take the US for example, it’s a good one to use...

    Straight piping a 1hz na

I went to a specialist stainless exhaust manufacturer and he showed me the power and torque bands for different pipe sizes for my HZJ 80 with the 1HZ engine and I went for 60mm (2.5” near as dammit). Hello :)

If the white smoke is the only symptom, then I’d try a compression test first, to see which pots are down on pressure (if any). There‘s so many different things that could have caused a problem, a leaking valve can cause a local heat-spot which can warp or crack a head. Is there coolant loss...

Welcome to the forum GB, your 80 has the same kilometerage as mine, but thankfully the head gasket on mine is still intact. Do you know what caused it to blow? Coolant leaks, overheating, etc? Next question is it petrol or diesel and if diesel, HDJ (with turbo) or HZJ (no Turbo)? I‘d be...

    WTF Covid.

I don’t think the release of COVID 19 or it’s latest spawn COVID 21 is in any way a conspiracy theory, it’s more of a fact. Just look up the policies and history of the Club Of Rome and the World Economic Forum, and it’s there in plain sight. Dream up and release disasters that can only be...
