Do you have a dip stick on your d4d 90 series Gearbox?
if you do its so easy to change, i would include it in your service regime. i bought a load of atf fluid when i had my colorado and used to change it quite regular. get you self a garden sprayer and adapt it so that you can put the new...
I normally just scrape all the loose seeds and pulp out until you hit the harder outer shell.
then its marking out and cut whatever pattern needed. i know friends and family who go right into it and carve out witches etc.
Its Ok, il put it in low range......... Nope:doh:
Its Ok, il put the diff lock on....... Nope:doh:
Ok ive got 240 horses to dig myself in deep before getting towed by a Landcruiser:lol:
From Memory, there is an access flap that can be taken off inside the drivers wheel arch to get to the turbo.
you might already know this and the plugs tucked round the back. but if not it might make it easier to identify.

Hello
Im finally starting on my Garage clean up.
I have the roof Bars that i bought for my 120. i bought the better whispbars that attach to the toyota rails and sit nice a and low (good for tight carparks) they are also one of the quietest bars on the market.
I was going to see if they fit...
Sounds like the expansion vessel is ok to me. you have managed to re pressurise the vessel and push some water back into the system. if the pressure gauge is staying in range and continues too, over the next week you should be ok. What pressure did you pump the vessel too?
My LC was the later engine as in the 05 plates.
Dont get me wrong, it wasn't knackered, didnt burn any oil. it just sounded crap from cold (but im really fussy with engines. and im not the only one, if you have read the 100+ page posts about noisy from cold.
It never did let me down. so wasnt...
Im with you there. i wish i never sold my Colorado, i liked the updated interior on the 120. but that Engine!!!
i hated driving down the road for that first mile.
Id also check that it hasn't got a cheap tuning box fitted, a long shot but the previous owner may of fiddled.
you can check the wiring by the boost sensor while your there.
I had BF KO'2 on my 120, I had the standard wheels refurbed and they used the stick on weights at the back, from what i remember there were quite a few i didnt have any problems with them being out of balance. i did have a problem when i had BF AT's on my Colorado and that was due to some of...
@Graham be careful with tyre change. there are limits to what you can have side to side ad front/back.
From memory i think its 2mm difference in tread depth on the same axle and 3mm difference between the front and back axle or you risk transmission wind up at high speeds on the AWD system...
I'm a bit late back to the game. And Chris has now guessed it.
Yes michaelos in Kalamaki.
It's been a few years since visiting and it's still just as good.
We did indeed have the special last night it was a slow cooked pork dish and the meat was superb. Il be going back some point this week.
Ok then you should be able to control it by swapping to some slower release foods, brown bread instead of white etc. watch out for the so called low fat yogurts that actually have more sugar than the normal yoghurts.
Tea is fine for drinks if you're not having sugar in it.
its worth a look at...
I take it you have been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic Joinerman?
Im a type 1 insulin dependant diabetic. take a look at the glycemic index chart. its about eating slower release foods to stop your sugar levels spiking so high.
For me white bread rockets my sugar levels so i stick to...
Hi Graham
I looked at the 150 when i sold my 120, as said earlier the rear boot put me off with about a 4 inch lip where the rear seats lay(useless design on toyota's part) engines are still living in the dark ages. I looked at the X5 but when i test drove it, i felt like a boy racer in a...
Is it the Msport X5 in the Background?
#Edit. just seen the comment above the photo, it is the M sport X5. Id like to give it a spin too. test out all those pony's
If you use it mainly on the road for Towing, i would go for the 100 series.
But it has already been said, find one with minimal rust and a good service history.
Now this could also tempt me back to Toyota.
I would like to think its under £20K but that just for the AT35 package to be fitted to a Hilux. or am i reading it wrong?
Did a service on the "Toerag" yesterday. After many years of servicing my LC's and found them nicely laid out for servicing, i was expecting to have trouble (i have owned and worked on landrovers where oil splashes over diff casing etc)
But was pleasantly surprised. the oil filter is right at...
Did somebody say Touareg!!!
I will admit im enjoying my Touareg at the moment, i cant vouch for reliability yet as ive only owned it for a month. its very comfy and the v6 diesel engine is very smooth. No rattles from cold (Like the D4D). if i did any off roading of overlanding i would of kept...
Not knocking your gas strut install, just wondering what was wrong with the original stay? My 120 allowed me to lock it open and was pretty Sturdy for any times if the wind caught it etc. So what made your mind up to change to this set up?
Regards
Joe
Thought i would resurrect this. I did see a Velar in the flesh today and i fully retract my statement about liking it. it looked like it had been squashed by a large object. Not nice at all :eusa-snooty::eusa-snooty:
Yes the V10 has got some grunt, i nearly bought my uncles R50 version over two years ago. this did develop a fault and VW wanted 8k to fix it. so i had a lucky escape. i did a fair bit of reading up before the purchase. this is the last of the T3 model before it went to Ad blue and the diesel...
It does drive Nice. the only thing that bothers me is the amount of electrical kit that has the potential to fail but all the newer cars are going this way, so cant really avoid it if you want something newer. ive already ordered a VCDS kit(equivalent to Toyota Techstream) so i can sort any...
