Hi Jon,
To check fluid level, you have to take out spare tyre and fix a torch from there at an angle on the reservoir. Once torch position is set, remove cover from behind the rear wheel, clean reservoir tank and now check level.
Saw this car care nut video today and logged in to post the link to but you all 80 fans covered it already. There might be few such clean 80s hidden in the UK too
Welcome Oakdent.
I am using Krown mainly coz I can’t go under the car and work with brush to achieve perfect rust free surface. Krown will take care of all small hidden parts.
Hi Ryan, welcome. Mine is about 9 year old but clear coat is peeling from every where. Being 1997 model, yours seem to be well maintained. Any pics of the wrap pls
I too am thinking of going vinyl wrap route instead of repainting
I got one warning. I think this was the day I drove to Welwyn and there is a very small stretch of road in ULEZ before hitting M25 on the way back.
I went to Terminal 4 another day, I remember seeing ULEZ near the Terminal but forgot to pay. I might get a penalty.
I don’t want to leave bank...
This is the first thing I did when mine did that. I left all doors open and cleaned the truck.
Not sure about exact reason but it went off few times after I came back from Avalanche meet. I slept in the car there with windows open and some insects came inside while I was watching my phone.
I...
I am aiming for this kind of target with Christoph. My parenthood is around 2 years. He’s just a kid now at just 9 years old . I have a long way to go..
Any particular reason why all give a female name to their Landcruisers. My daughter gave the name and thinks he’s the strongest and biggest as...
This place looks interesting and in Eastbourne, not far from me. Was looking at their Black diamond brake upgrades on 100s. I am due for brake upgrades but gathering info and courage to do myself for now.
Did anyone use these brakes? They are cheaper than DBA
I understand that. Recently I dumped a lot of stuff, dining set, new dining chairs and table etc etc. I knew someone might need them but transportation is a problem and it’s easy for me to dump so just dumped them.
I saw your first post of wheels but was not sure of fitting 16s on 200 without...
Anytime. It’s been about two years now and I still believe it’s help from all of you that kept my cruiser alive and happy with me now.. Mr.T was about to get it scrapped
This weekend I took my time experimenting with it on those tracks and I am very satisfied. May be in future I will try the...
Thank you all for great weekend. Thanks Gav the cookies kept me awake. I reached at 12:10.
Today My cruiser took on the duty of garbage van- dumped a lot of stuff at recycle centre. Then it transformed into movers van.
I might come today evening itself and leave tomorrow late night. I moved house again this year. Dumped all stuff in garage of this new house. I ll dig out camping stuff after work and decide. Instead of Sat and Sunday I am thinking of tonight and tomorrow so I can use Sunday to clear our my old...
Many times my friends ask me why I am not using high beam. My only concern is that if I get used to more lighting/comfortable driving, it ll be difficult to get back to less favourable conditions. This is the only reason I am not using high beam. Lights are on my list of fav safety gadgets to...
This light set from LazerLamps is at 606£ but the ProComp from The US specialist is at 119£ and also fits existing UK models (pre-2015). Lighting from US model looks like more than sufficient.
Why is LazerLamps one so much more expensive?
Just trying to understand what more are we getting for...
That's scary.. but when will we need to replace the whole AHC system? I thought most of the parts of AHC system can be replaced individually as needed.
How frequently are you all bleeding your AHC? The last time when I did bleeding, I set a reminder for 1 year/10000 miles and it's overdue now.
Did 5K mile service. Did oil n filter change, fuel filter change, air filter change and mass airflow sensor cleaned.
Now I got used to doing this. Today completed all this in 2 hours.
It took more time to fit those factory underbody plates.
Not sure if I mentioned but finally my tech stream...
Recently I drove to Paris twice. Once to Eiffel Tower and once to Disney. Didn’t pay any charges as it was weekends or maybe they didn’t knew how to send fine notice to foreign cars
Ya 4X4s in cities are easy targets and not much revenue. There are bigger things causing more pollution but they are all exempt as they generate lot of money. Govts forcing everyone to travel to work as money to be made..it’s same in many countries. I guess all can keep these beasts as long as...
Thank you. I got my laptop fixed and ready and I successfully installed techstream V13 without any problem. I didn’t use virtual windows. I am directly using laptop windows. I might need this window keys in future as currently OS is working good but doesn’t let me update. It might be some...
Is the fire risk that big or are councils and others just preparing for potential risks? Prius or Lexus uses the same batteries as Tesla and we have them on the road for long enough. I read more fire incidents from ICE RRs than any Prius or Lexus.
Tesla’s battery management system might be much...
I am having too much uncertainty going on for last few weeks. During the wales trip I suddenly decided and went to Paris, the weekend of Classic cruiser I went to India and I had to cancel my booking at Classic cruiser site last minute. I hope nothing comes up in Sept. It’s the weekend before...
Welcome Nev. This is something I too looked at but I am thinking 100 times + more to add anything other than Toyota-recommended mods. My experience with LandCruisers is less but with my knowledge and DIY capabilities, I feel any mods on 200 will likely decrease its dependability. Did you say...
