And I've just offered Björn a set... the ones in the roof off photo of the add in ebay addicts. If he doesn't want them I'll let you know. The chrome is a bit shabby but they're straight... going for peanuts
Ok. I posted a link in here somewhere to the VM workshop manual. Have a dig through my previous posts.
He's still not been in touch so consider the truck still available.
Drum weights are spot welded into a little dimple on the drum. They can come loose during removal/fitting and fall off.
Whip the wheel off and if you see a little dimple and no weight that would cause vibration.
Perhaps Björn.
I accepted an offer from someone on eBay on Wednesday.
He made contact immediately to ask if he could pick up today. I offered some times and alternative pick up location... difficult to organise for me.
He said he would let me know yesterday.
So far I he has not been in...
not sure about the three pipes.
if you put your chassis number into partsouq website it should come up with explded diagrams and part numbers for your truck. that should help explain.
also not sure about the filter in the tank. again check partsouq for part number and try to order online. call...
Check all the flesh hoses in the rear wheel arch. I reckon you've got a perished or split hose somewhere up there. There might be a little inline filter up there as well. Replace it if there is.
Did you drive it running fuel from a bottle? I'm not sure what the issue with the turbo is not knowing the engine well.
The symptoms you describe are likely fuel related.
Starvation and/or contamination.
Eliminate possible causes systematically.
Start with the easiest/most obvious.

i dont know how the return pipe got blocked, the only way of knowing for sure is to inspect the debris from the blocked pipe.
i was just thinking out loud about the injector. they do occasionally break but they usually make quite a racket.
unburned fuel at the exhaust and rough running makes a...
could be one of your injectors is dying or has died. never going to hurt so buy a second hand set, buy a set of the correct nozzles and get someone to build you a nice new set then keep the set you have fitted as spares or stick them on the bon coin
Change fuel filter anyway... it should only be a few euros from Norauto.
When you fit new filter prime it with neat injector cleaner.
Should help clear any crud between filter and injector.
Blocked or semi blocked fuel line from tank to engine compartment can also cause similar. Disconnect feed from tank to filter and blow back up it to clear crud. If it's a minor blockage and you blow using mouth/lungs you may feel it clear. You can also use an air line to do same.
Hi all.
Looking for a full set of OE height leaf springs for a BJ73... having a bit of a tricky time finding any.
Does anyone know where to get hold of them off the shelf in the UK?
Are the springs the same length and spec as on the HZJ74?
Cheers
Understand exactly what you're saying bud. Looking like this one's getting rebuilt. Thanks for advice.
Somebody offered me one today...
176000km... €1500 plus shipping.
Ahem.
Hi
Could anyone advise on how easy/difficult it is to change input shaft on an H55F gearbox?
Might have found an affordable one but its off an HJ60... so I'd need to stick a 3B input shaft in.
Cost wise it works out considerably cheaper than getting my bust one rebuilt... just don't know if...

Half the price of the Milner kits (which I used last time).
Worth the money?
Cheers
Hi Nulla.
Below is web address of a garage that was local to me when I was in France.
David is mad about Land Cruisers and language issues notwithstanding I'm sure he would be happy to help you find the right people if he can't help you himself.

Hi all.
Can anyone recommend somewhere to take an H55F box for repair?
Won't go into 5th.
Can't be sure of the cause. Recently purchased truck (3B). Very badly maintained.
Thanks

Just bought a 3B powered BJ73 so the VM has to go.
Bit scruffy round the edges but in pretty outstanding mechanical condition for its age.
