Was it turning over at all when jump started? If your positive the batterys are good then I'd check the starter relay located on the n/s inner wing. Mine was just clicking when that went.

I'm Still going to say batterys. Could be dropping under load.

I've ordered a genuine set a couple of weeks ago. £12 a pair.

Nope, I had to swap the manifold and clutch over.

Price on the intercooler kit please? I assume it will fit the 1HD FT?

I got mine from Toyota in the end. It's a denso recon and cost £300. I also swapped out the bearing on the clutch.

Today's task, remove the bumpers and horrid rotton tow bar ready for paint on the n/s rear quarter. Glad to say the quarter bottoms are solid. Also removed the o/s rear arch after someone siliconed it on..... :cry: But no rust!

Props have been greased. Yes I checked the brakes over, it's been stood inside so they aren't too bad and passed Mot. They will be on the list along with the exhaust which is a little rough. Cheers

So I bought this 80 a couple of months back, she's a 1997 24v manual in grey. It had been stood for 6 years before I got it so needed recommissioning. My plan is to tidy it right up into a good useable truck. I don't plan to do any heavy off-roading or overlanding. First few jobs included...

I've fixed it! After trawling through the internet last night I checked the Brake pedal switch, Swapped out and it works!

Well I completely disconnected the trailer socket and the vss plug seems clean, no difference..... Any ideas?

My old mans truck has a custom intercooler, 4" exhaust system, electric fan conversion, egr delete and the pump tweeked. It really moves but is running standard size tyres.

Yes the colour was a plus point when I bought it. I can't stand the red that most of them seem to be in. No offence to anyone. Yes standard tyre size £90 per corner.
