Well from looking at the transfer box ill have to take the whole front off to get to the bearing and seal which could be a fairly big job. id rather have the bearing to fit straight in rather then find ive got to wait with the whole thing in bits

Sorry jon your right the output shaft bearing. Me being an idiot. Got a slight weep from the seal so when i get it apart ill change the bearing at the same time

Cheers karl. Yeah i can get toyo and ntn bearings from down the road. Saved myself a fortune when it came to rebuilding the front axel compared to what Toyota were selling the exact same bearings for. Failing that is this somthing you can get?

Does anyone know the dimentions of the front input shaft bearing in the transfer box? I need a new one but Toyota are a rip off. Tom

No all me. Though i am in the dog house as ATF went through the top christmas table cloth onto the bottom one and it turns out neither were oil resistant so now in the bin. Oops.

Well ive tested all the solinoids, break sensor, throttle sensor, the speed sensor seems to be working though i dont seem to have any lock up, the O/D is working so i am back to the drawing board. Putting it all back to original as I "thought" it was working correctly befor. Failing that it...

Yes its very strange had a bit more of a mess around with it today and it works fine and keeps good temp and then after about 30mins it all goes wrong. Any downhill where you take your foot off the gas, the temp shoots up and from then on it all goes to pot. Ive now disconnected the nomad lock...
