    4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 007 - Touring Tassie

Well here you go folks, buckle up, we're off to Tasmania for a tour of the Apple Isle. For our UK mates, this is the little island off the southern coast of the mainland, a fantastic place for 4WDing (especially the wild west coast) and some of the most scenic spots Australia has to offer. We...

Ummm....short answer..Yes !! :icon-biggrin: I can average around 18-19L/100kms (12mpg) if I'm nice and gentle with her on the highway. I won't write in a public domain what the 'full noise' consumption rate is in case the missus reads this. But lets just say low single digits in mpg...

    4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 006 - Tyres, Wheels & Other Stuff

Although we have members on here from across the globe, predominantly UK and Aussie based, tonight's show may be of interest to anyone considering a trip south of the Aussie mainland. Yes, I'm talking Tasmania. Anyone on here looking to tour Tassie? Have you been to Tassie but want to see more...

    'charger for Blown80's LC

It was a decent size shoehorn, yes. We had to pretty much clear out the engine bay bar the engine itself, although a lot of gear came off that as well, and then build it all up again. But it's still the original engine, the head has never been off, and can shave a set of wheel studs off by just...

Crispin, using some clever comparative proportioning tools, eyeballs, I have accurately measured the size of this supercharger and the available space under my bonnet. Yes it will fit with some minor tweaking, so the upgrade is on. I have sent the company a quote request, along with a manifold...

    4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 006 - Tyres, Wheels & Other Stuff

Hello again guys and Gals. This time we've been talking tyres, wheels, pressures, temperatures and a whole lot more. Excuse Andrew's 'Dad Jokes' introduction this week, but its all about having a laugh as we go. And it didn't stop there. Listen in via SoundCloud and let us know what you think...

This show we catch up with Mr4x4 himself - Pat Callinan, Mandy from TAWKers, and an old mate Ian 'Mac' McDougall. We chat about a variety of ideas when or if planning a trip with the kids. Plus a heap more as we babble our way through the evening. I hope you enjoy it, any feedback is welcome...

    4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 004 - Trip Service & Maintenance

We had a few more laughs last night on our Hills Radio 4WD, Caravan & Camping Show, although we did try and be a little serious. I was behind the controls, but luckily Andrew uses his media wizardry to cut all those 'blank' bits out for me when I miss the buttons in time. But hopefully there's...

4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 003 - The Big Lap, Aussie Style

All good Chris, I realise it was just observing and commenting. Funniest thing though that you wouldn't have heard, on our very first show, very first song straight in as we were trying to push out the previous guys from the studio, Andrew chucked on a Billy Thorpe song. About half way through...

4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 003 - The Big Lap, Aussie Style

Thanks for the feedback guys. Chris, I do have to watch my 'buggers' and 'bloody', but these words are pretty well accepted here. Yes, radio is much more strictly policed than TV. The broadcast rules are different for each. Go figure.... I don't use much colorful language anyway in normal...

4WD, Caravan & Camping Show - Episode 003 - The Big Lap, Aussie Style

I'm back again guys with my ol' mate Andrew Kennedy, and this time we're talking about doing The Big Lap. Aussie style of course. We interview a few people doing or have done The Big Lap, and also have a special guest in the studio, my good mate Enrico the Butcher. We had some fun and laughs as...

Great to see the show of support and solidarity from around the world. Personally I can't see how the world will rid itself of this terror and fear without completely and utterly eradicating the animals who commit these atrocities, as well as those who incite and preach the hatred. Only then...

Hi Folks. Crispin has kindly set up a new sub-section for podcasts such as from our new radio show I am co-hosting along with my good mate Andrew Kennedy. We have only just recently kicked off this new show, after a couple of nervous practice sessions. But we did have a lot of fun on Monday...

 .... Yes Chris. But I cover the 4WD stuff and my mate Andrew does the caravan scene. I must admit I've owned a couple of caravans and done a fair bit of touring in them. Quite popular out here, especially where a gazillion flies want to lift the steak off your plate and you can hide inside...

I like many others generally operate at close to the maximum of memory capacity. When something goes in it means something must go out. Most of the scamming or phishing emails I get everyday funnily enough seem to originate from the UK. I haven't been able to drill down further, but I'd hazard a guess they're mostly from Yorkshire.

    LJ79 leaning to driver's side

OK no worries Malteser. We Aussies got the 79 series as a tray back utility. Bit confusing hey. If you can get the free height info from the distributor for your coils, you can slip yours out and check. Anything more than 10mm should be changed. But maybe that extra wheel is the issue after all...

A Lizard is wandering through the Australian Outback when he smells something funny. he looks around then looks up in a tree and sees a Koala smoking. "Hey Koala!" he shouts, "What'cha doin'?" LJ79 leaning to driver's side

Malteser, most sets of springs for the 79 series are identical in free height and therefore the codes are the same and makes no difference to which side they are fitted. However there is in our range a couple of options for LHS and RHS springs at specific spring/load rates, but these are always...

    intercooler

Either engine will benefit from adding an intercooler to the charged intake system. The cooler the air on entry to the combustion chamber, the denser the air therefore the more oxygenated the air is. That is a known factual outcome of colder air where other factors remain the same such as...
