Class 7 is a Goods vehicle over 3000Kg and less than 3500Kg Even if you had an "Irish type" of Colorado with only front seats and no side windows and a load deck fitted it would still not be a Class 7 as it is under 3000Kg DGW. All "normal" UK Landcruisers 80s, 90, 100, 120, etc are Class 4...

I have an old Gamin 12XL as a backup and this also works.

I have a Garmin 10x Bluetooth GPS but I don't think you can buy them anymore. The problem with Garmin software is it needs to see a Garmin GPS to work, there is software available to fool the software like GPS Gate but for me it adds another complication which was not worth it with the price...

I just meant a Garmin GPS as the interface, IMO the very best setup is a PC for navigation. I would be lost without mine :P

That is a really nice Hilux Tony, fantastic setup for travelling I'm sure :mrgreen: IMO Dual cabs have a huge amount going for them with their large payload, built in bulk head and lower profile in more ways than size. The only down side for me is you cannot really set up a sleeping...

That law about producing documents to have a plate made, would only ever effect the law abiding when you can buy legal copy "Show Plates" off the internet. The UK Law Makers were to thick to spot what even a money could see IMO :lol: gets off soap box :mrgreen:

Correct, but unless your vehicle is an Import and does not have, 1. European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval and 2. Cannot accommodate standard size number plate. It's still not legal to use one :whistle: Not that I have ever had a problem yet :mrgreen: My main driver to use one...

To be fair a 2.5 ton raised offroader with soft springs, even more an automatic gives very little feed back to the driver.

In my totally unscientific tests in changing types of snow today. a. Land Cruiser with BFG M/T's b. Defender with KM2 BFG M/T's c. Front wheel drive Escort Van with 155/65's whatever was fitted The winner was c. The Escort Van was the most controllable and felt the safest IMO :thumbup:
