    3D mats

I have been looking at something similar here. Difference is they tuck under the plastic trims. Not sure if its worth the hassle to remove when cleaning though.

    Performance kit for 2.8D 177 h.p.

I dont think the 2.8 chips would be the same as the 3.0. Different Engine.Safest bet is to get a custom tune done on a dyno. I would imagine though that there would be plenty of chips available for the 2.8.

    Saw something interesting on youtube.

With that tutorial how could you go wrong hahaha. I almost want to start spelling the way I talk for the amusement of non Australians here. I could imagine some of the pommy gits here would have some pretty interesting lingo also:laughing: . I work with an older pom and he messes with me like that.

    Factory battery specifications

From what I can tell your new battery is 570cca which to me isn't good enough for a diesel. I just removed a 720cca which I assumed was the factory battery and put in a 750cca. Its difficult to find much info.

    New LC Addict

Hi Mate in regards to the Winch question, It may depend on the strength of the Cradle its attached to. My TJM bar is only rated to take the load a 9000lb winch can produce. I went 12000lb anyway . Best talk to the guy whos building the Bar I guess. What happened to the pics?

DIY 270° Awning. To keep me busy during winter....

Amazing project mate! Im no welder but the welds look ok. im flat out getting 2 bits of paper together with some masking tape. Check out the Drifta 270° Awning for some inspiration. It is very well built also. They have made the rear section square with the vehicle which gives more...

    Maxtrax alternitives

I have a set of Tredz. I haven't been stuck enough to you them yet though. In comparison to maxtrax though they are much sturdier, so a single one could be used for bridging. On the downside this means they are more brittle and easier to break than maxtrax . Maxtrax will deform to the shape of...

nice one mate. Surprised there is a v6 model. Over here we get v8 turbo diesel or v8 turbo diesel ! Im guessing its the same v6 petrol that the aussie 150 had in it until recently.

    My 150 Kakadu

Just keep in mind that you cant access the bolts furthest from the rear from the handle end of the drawers. I designed mine in such away that the back of the carcass could be removed gaining the access needed .

    My 150 Kakadu

Thanks Hamba, I removed the bolts from the factory tie downs that were in the backs of the seats/floor . I swapped them out for 50mm bolts and big washers and bolted through the bottom of the carcass. I didn't need to countersink as first planned as the slides together (8mm) were high enough to...

I think mine are a little low since adding the bar and winch. Apparently the adjustment for the vx/kakadu is near the rear axle. Some sort of level the headlights work off

Who is doing what maintenance today?

Replaced front and rear brake pads. The ones I removed had about %30 left so they've gone into the spares box.Thought I would adjust the hand brake while I was there. Bad Idea. Long story short , I messed up and one of the shoe retainers popped off. There were some interesting grinding noises...
