    Colorado rear strut housing repair

Good job, did you get them posted across to the UK? Did you replace both of them? When I had my 90 series axle out for welding the turret brackets on it and replacing the rear springs, shocks, etc,, I found Panard arm was very tough to get back in place, did you have similar difficulty with it?

What are the "new" model cruiser chassis codes, forums section here, etc..

Who'd want a Suzuki Jimny, yet alone a new one, yet alone want to preserve it? Ahh, only joking, each to their own, sure whatever your into! :p :)

What are the "new" model cruiser chassis codes, forums section here, etc..

So owning a 90 and a 120 series I haven't a whole lot of interest in the "newer" models. The one thing I did know or "thought" I knew was that all the newer Landcruisers were 2.8L and I assumed the Hilux were the same. But, it turns out the newer Hilux are 2.4L. When I say newer I mean from...

How to fix broken window switch

So the passenger window switch of the drivers side switch panel was broken when I bought it and I'm only taking some time to look into repairing it now. The passenger window itself works, and the passenger door switch panel operates the window correctly. It's just the switch of the drivers door...

    Fuel line air leak

That's a pretty common pipe to fail. I had to do mine on my 90 too few yrs ago. Them tank strap bolts are a fecker all right. You should have painted your tank when you had went to the trouble of removing it.

    1KZ-TE engine Problem

Yeah, if the wiring to the injectors is faulty then obviously the injectors will misfire / mis-operate same as if the injector itself was faulty. When you say new engine, do you mean newly rebuilt or literally a new engine? Or a second hand engine? What happened the old engine? I think you...

Standard Roof rack and loud wind noise

I don't have a sunroof on my 120, thank god, one less thing to rust / leak as it gets older. Here pics of the roof rails, spoiler, I remember being a passenger in another 120 swb with roof rails about 10 years ago and it too had dreadful wind noise now that I thought about it. @ Tractionman -...

Standard Roof rack and loud wind noise

My 120 SWB has the basic standard roof rails / rack fitted and the wind noise inside the cruiser is very loud. Is this typical? When I'm driving forward with foot on accelerator it's at a certain constant noise that isn't too bad but as soon as I lift my foot off the throttle or brake, start...

I know you said you have health issues, does your health mean you can't physically work on it yourself at all? Can you weld? Or do you have a friend that could do the welding for you if you could prepare it to the welding stage? That would keep costs down. I am learning to weld and just...

Will oem wheels / tyres of a 90 and 120 fit each other?

What are the oem wheels / tyres sizes for a 2004 120 series and a 1997 90 series? Both short wheel bases. I think my 90 series is a Colorado and the 120 is a Prado as I believe all 120's are Prado's. My 120 currently has 265 / 65 R17 which I believe to be standard oem? My 90 has 265 / 70...

New owner of 2005 120 series

That’s a nice cruiser to have, some would say the best styling and the best engine. Did you import it yourself from Australia, are there many of them here in Ireland? Is there a way to identify an Oz cruiser from a normal 120 you’d see in Ireland?

Anyone have oil leak from this intercooler to turbo hose?

Yeah, the clamps are tight, I had nipped them up another bit to see if made difference prior to posting and it didn't. I didn't use a solvent to flush the intercooler originally, I just let the oil drain and spray cleaned it with brake cleaner. I took the intercooler off again there on Sunday...

Anyone have oil leak from this intercooler to turbo hose?

As in pic, recently replaced my turbo, the oil leaked into the intercooler when the turbo failed, I drained the oil out of the intercooler just by gravity, left it to sit etc,, However, I am getting oil dropping onto the ground as have my undertrays off and it's coming from that hose pictured...

    Turbo actuator

I'd be surprised if your actuator is faulty, why did you suspect it was, because it was difficult to operate the rod by hand? They are difficult to move by hand. if the flap opens, it doesn't open fully, just a bit, then it's ok. A vacuum / pressure gun like the one i linked is ideal for...

    Turbo actuator

For an initial test just to see if the rod moves all you need is a compressor and airline with a dust blow gun. Blow it into it and see if it moves. To test if it leaks or holds pressure use one of these on it. 21pc Hand Held Vacuum And Pressure Pump Tester Tool Brake Fluid Bleeder Kit...

    Turbo actuator

No don’t open it, I mistakenly assumed it was a variable vane turbo with electronic actuator. From your last post it seems to be a wastegate type turbo. It’s pressure that open that actuator, the stem can be very stiff to pull or operate by hand. You can use an airline to carefully blow air...
  26. M

    Turbo actuator

Maybe it's the variable vanes inside that are seized? Have you the turbo off the cruiser? It's hard to disconnect the actuator when attached to the turbo as the little clip holding it on is very difficult to remove in situ.

Protective plastic dirt trim covers - alternatives?

Good man, I knew there'd be something alternative, I just couldn't think what. I'll look up a roll of that EPDM and see what I can get. Toyota were a bit scabby with the bits they used, as you say, the orig doesn't even cover the whole of the gap.

Protective plastic dirt trim covers - alternatives?

Like in the picture, all these bits of plastic covers are disintergrated on my 120, I'd say they're expensive from Toyota and possibly even hard to find the part numbers for or locate them in parts diagrams. Plus I've spent enough, don't want to buy anymore Toyota parts for a while :) Has any...

Reverse connector switch wiring loom female connector

I got one in a breakers, was actually hard to get. Would be good to be able to buy the connectors individually. If breaked didn't have it I would of just used 2 little spade terminals, as suggested above but wanted to see if could get a new connector first.

Reverse connector switch wiring loom female connector

That's what I wanted to do, I thought the wires were broken off the reverse sensor but alas it couldn't be that easy. When I got the new sensor it has no wires coming out of it (This is the way they are by design) it's just a sensor with the male prongs directly on it, no wires. The wiring looms...

Yeah, I figured it out, it's the reverse light sensor, I actually purchased a new one. Now, I'm trying to purchase a female connector from the wiring loom side to connect to it, but prooving tricky. I might just crimp 2 small female spade connectors onto the wires and connect them that way...

    Hi!

Welcome, good story with the MB dealer. :) Nice cruiser btw. Did the Toyota dealer give you a 12 month warranty covering the entire vehicle just because you booked a service with them? And now they're going to cover the injector under it?

What is this connector / sensor on the side of the gear box, a manual 5 speed box in a 2004 125 to be exact.

There's a lot of broken and bodges wiring around my gear box and diffs, just wondering what this broken sensor is? It's connector was bodged together to it and hadn't seem to be causing any issues but seen as I have the box off at the min I might renew it if I knew what it was. :)

Removing manual gear box, how to deal with gear stick lever? See Pic

I removed the gear stick off of the gear box prior to removal in the end. Starting Sill replacement - anyone got pics of sills removed

Yeah, I heard mention of that here before, some lad just welded box section on and no sills but I think he was using it for proper off-road on rocks and such. Did you mean to type "sills" instead of "sliders", and if not, what do you mean by sliders?
