I miss my 80, but Mrs Womble doesn't - so i am seriously considering a 200 series import from Japan. Partly to get one that is low on corrosion and partly because UK prices are a bit keen at the moment. Does anyone have any general advice on buying a 200 in the UK or on importing from Japan...

Thanks chaps - i'm in. both handles are operating the central mechanism, but neither is moving the horizontal bar that goes to the catch. Fortunately its easy to access with the handle trim removed. I'll report back here with pictures when i've cleaned all the dust and grime off...

There are lots of these for sale in Oz. As knucklehead says, they are not always made in the same factory. As such they have struggled with consistent quality. Check out 4wdaction.com.au/forum to find lots of folks using powerful4x4 products.

Dave 2000, that's exactly what i did. They are cheap and bright and cut to length, but the soldering was a real pain as there is only a very small contact area. I had lots left over, so run it the length of the awning as well, which we don't use very often, but works well...
