What size/diameter are the brake pipes on an 80?

Yesterday I had that dreaded situation, foot down on the brakes, a moment of resistance then the pedal flops straight to the floor and all braking goes . After stopping I found a drip and a puddle of brake fluid under the car and some more investigation found that a short section of brake...

What wheel nuts do I need?

I thought as much, thanks for the confirmation. Indeed I am, I got the reply but then realised I might have asked for the wrong type of nut so I thought I would ask the hive mind before ordering anything. I've replied to your email now

What wheel nuts do I need?

I've bought some new steel wheels for my 80 series and it seems I need some new wheel nuts. The aftermarket alloys that came with the cruiser have rather odd wheel nuts (one pictured) which evidently won't fit the new wheels. Doing some research suggests there are two types of standard 80 series...

Wheels and tyres, what to get?

Thanks for the tips, some useful stuff there. I'm interested, if you could post/pm me some pictures and what you would be asking for them that would be good. I'm off to Toyota on Saturday to pick up my big end bolts so I'll ask how much OEM steels are new while I'm there.

Wheels and tyres, what to get?

My new 80-series currently has aftermarket 15" alloys with a mixture of road biased tyres, I don't really like the wheels and I'm going to Iceland this summer which will require more knobblyness so a new set of wheels and tyres are in order. Ideally I'd like to spend <£50 a wheel for the rims...

Diff locks: Centre works fine, no lights at all for front and rear. What could it be?

Well I took the dash off, the switch was indeed disconnected. I plugged it in and both diff locks worked perfectly after not having been used for at least 11 years, Triple locked and ready to rock! Many thanks for the tip.

Diff locks: Centre works fine, no lights at all for front and rear. What could it be?

Yes the lights come on for a moment and go off when the ignition is turned on like they should. That's interesting, seems odd that someone would disconnect the switch but that seems the next thing to investigate. Now I need to work out how to take the dash panel off to get at it without breaking...

Diff locks: Centre works fine, no lights at all for front and rear. What could it be?

Hello all, I've just bought my second HDJ80 which I'm rather enjoying. It does have a problem with the front and rear diff locks which I have not previously encountered: When I put it in low range the centre diff lock engages and the light goes solid on the dash. I then turn the rear and front...
