I've bought some new steel wheels for my 80 series and it seems I need some new wheel nuts. The aftermarket alloys that came with the cruiser have rather odd wheel nuts (one pictured) which evidently won't fit the new wheels. Doing some research suggests there are two types of standard 80 series...

My new 80-series currently has aftermarket 15" alloys with a mixture of road biased tyres, I don't really like the wheels and I'm going to Iceland this summer which will require more knobblyness so a new set of wheels and tyres are in order. Ideally I'd like to spend <£50 a wheel for the rims...
Well I took the dash off, the switch was indeed disconnected. I plugged it in and both diff locks worked perfectly after not having been used for at least 11 years, Triple locked and ready to rock! Many thanks for the tip.
Yes the lights come on for a moment and go off when the ignition is turned on like they should. That's interesting, seems odd that someone would disconnect the switch but that seems the next thing to investigate. Now I need to work out how to take the dash panel off to get at it without breaking...
