Can anyone tell me if I have the head removed from my engine, is there any reason i cant do the valve lash with the head off?? As the valve lash is done with both the intake and exhaust valves closed, and I timed the engine before removing the head. 2uz-fe DOHC engine V8 petrol

Can anyone tell me if it is a lifter making the noise.... how will i find out which one it is?? will the valve lash be excessive on the faulty lifter?

yeah i went to the advace setting and it takes ages to upload but then I cant see it anywhere....some is getting a heap of videos of a ticking engine...LOL

Thanks Firewout... I have used a stetoscope and had the rocker covers off and managed to put the probe of the stetoscope on the side of each lifter as it was running and still could not pin point the area. I have been told it could be a cracked exhaust manifold but I'm not 100 percent sure that...
