Hotwiring a new rear locker stuck in closed position

I put 12V over the 2 power pins (measured 290ohms so I thought I had the right ones) and alot of sparks later I have blown traces all over my ECU.

Hotwiring a new rear locker stuck in closed position

thanks,I got the locker to unlock by putting voltage on the 2 an 3 connector pin. Is there a way to test the relays to see if they are working? The only thing that stands out is that I get 12V over pin 2 and 13 while the manual says I should get 0,5V or less

Hotwiring a new rear locker stuck in closed position

Hello! Is there a way to hotwire a rear locker stuck in a closed position? I just replaced my broken rear locker with a brand new one because the old one did not work anymore. The casing was completely rotted and broken because of galvanic corrosion. The new locker came in the closed position...

    Acceleration problems 1HDFT

Recently I noticed when I'm accelerating hard in 2nd gear around 2700-3100 rpm (also in 3rd but not so much) its gets realy jerky (moments when I lose power then power again), looks like I'm not getting enough fuel/boost? Where do I start to look?

Looking for a good offset for a new set of rims

I'm currently looking to upgrade from 285 75 r16 to 315 75 r16 mud terrains but looking for a good set of rims, my current rims are a bit to wide, have only 4 of them and the dimensions are a bit unknown. A wild guess is 16x10 et-? around 30 I think. Is 16x8 et-25 a good choice? I want the...

Timing belt snapped (1HD FT 300.400km)

A final update: Had to replace the head due to one broken camshaft bearing cap, which was a bummer because the only other damage that was done was a cracked rocker shaft and one broken rocker. No damage to the valves (were checked and all dead straight) and no damage to the pistons (only a very...

    Damaged abs ring front CV

The end of the ABS sensor looks just fine. Could play in the bearings caused the bell to have touched the underside of the axle housing?

    Damaged abs ring front CV

I had trouble with my ABS coming on when coming to a stop, there where little pieces of metal on the magnet of the ABS sensor, cleaned out the front knuckle and replaced all the grease and seals (also had diff oil leaking into the knuckle) also no real damage to be found or seen, CV joint...

Timing belt snapped (1HD FT 300.400km)

There were slight markings from the valves on the pistons. Was driving around 40km/h and when the engine turned off I quickly smashed the clutch and rolled to the side of the road Yes, tensionner pully broke off

Timing belt snapped (1HD FT 300.400km)

Small update: timing pulley broke off and destroyed the timing belt (was recently replaced with the belt and looked as new, not a oem part, probably installed incorrectly or bad casting) 1 rocker is completely broken and a few valves are bent. Head is not damaged.

Timing belt snapped (1HD FT 300.400km)

As I went shopping for new windscreenwipers for my newly accuired cruiser, my engine began to make a rattling noise, a few 100m later the engine turned off, all the warning lights went on and I rolled to a stop. Peaked in the timing belt cover and saw that my timing belt is mangled. Is my...
