Don’t specifically know about the 120 but in general: When unlatched does it swing open easily? Lubricant on hinge and latch may work wonders. Otherwise it may be a binding cable or internal grease writhing the cable turning to glue due to age. In that case some wd40 squirted down could free it up?

That engine would be great in a 60! Assuming it could be installed mechanically with revised engine and gearbox mounts, exhaust mods and propshaft lengths etc, what is involved electrically? I’m suspecting various ecu’s would have to be transplanted?

The blind does a good job preventing silt and mud from blocking up the rad fins which is a bugger to clean out without removing the radiator completely

All 4 front pads were worn down to the metal having passed a not 2000 miles ago so I’m thinking it’s the master. All 4 pistons freely returned to normal position when the new pads went in. So a new Master has been ordered. Import duty on this one no doubt!!

Is the dump pipe the best place for an EGT sensor? The piston temperature is the concern I believe so the dump pipe will have a relationship with piston temperature but quite a bit cooler. So establishing the relationship is key to avoid any damage. How would you know what the offset is...

Took the NRV off to test it and yes it is oriented correctly which is obvious now! It is a small restriction in the line though reducing internal diameter from about 8.5 to 5mm. Is the valve necessary??

In preparation for our trip to Scotland next week, fitted a pair of new Bosch batteries: Changed oil and filter. Changed gearbox and transfer box oil and next is the diff oils. While looking at the fuel filter I noticed a non return valve installed: Is the NRV the right way round though ??

Could be something electrical moving around and wires burning their insulation? Would have a good look under there and make sure all connections are tight. Not sure if you have a heater resistor under there too but would look at that if you have one. Also check fan motor for anything suspicious.

My 61 was auto 4 speed. I think it had a different radiator with integral oil cooler for the gearbox but a separate oil cooler can be found I’m sure if needed. It Had the 12HT engine - not sure what your engine is? Potentially any non standard set up may need props modifying?

I believe each tank has a sender that sends their readings by way of milliohms or something to a switch which then connects to the gauge. So it’s more likely the gauge isn’t working rather than both senders failing at the same time? Just my thoughts of course.

Some filters have an electrical connector on the bottom or side of the housing to detect when filter maintenance is required. This should be unplugged before screwing off the filter. If not the wires get twisted and can give false readings. Not sure if the 200 has this but worth checking the...

Hilux calliper's in mine too. Made a massive difference. No mods needed. Very easy. They will run very close to the inner wheel rim. Some aftermarket wheels may rub. But filing off a mm or two from each corner of the larger calliper's solves that
