My 90 series colorado, laning spec to begin with..

I removed my roof bars and fabricated the whole rack including the gutter mounts. With regards to gearbox I had my doubts on getting an auto as previously had manual defenders, after looking a quite a few I decided to view this despite being auto.. I can honestly say without doubt if I replace...

    Double din thingymajig ?

I have an Eonon that does everything you are asking, in my colorado the double din required a little filing to fit, other than that was plug and play.

My 90 series colorado, laning spec to begin with..

Its the stretched links that misalign on the sprocket gears that cause the jump/clunk. Removing a link would not fix this, just create metal filings as the teeth get worn away. I ran mine for quite awhile in 2wd, I removed front prop and locked transfer box, even went off roading and it coped...

My 90 series colorado, laning spec to begin with..

I have a thread covering my transfer case rebuilding somewhere on here but that was bearings and seals, it was 4k later my clunk started, all my parts came from Amayam. I never covered the chain replacement as I just cracked on with it, removed transfer case stripped enough to get chain and...

    Wild Camping in England..Rules?

Thanks for quick reply, I am Northamptonshire base so Cotswolds or Peak district would have been nice. We used campsite on a trip in Wales last year and it kind of spoils it. you spend all day away from everyone then have to go and set up camp surrounded by people. Scotland is lovely but very...

    Wild Camping in England..Rules?

Whats Legal with regards to wild camping in England and possibly Wales? Can you stop and set up camp in a clearing beside a byway? I know you cant just go stopping in a farmers field and set up for the night but what is allowed or is not? Any info on the subject appreciated. thanks Danny

My 90 series colorado, laning spec to begin with..

While I wait for a transfer box chain and the 2 gears I am driving 2wd. Thought I would delve into the metal rack and start creating again. This is stage one below. Having to pull out draws on ballbearing sliders. Will ply board to top and make access for the space either side of the 2 draws.

Been fault finding an ongoing noise... unfortunately I have narrowed it down the the transfer box again. When I replaced the bearings and seals I never replaced the chain as it "appeared" to look fine and the drive gears looked fine. I have removed the front prop and the noise has stopped.

Looking good. I need to finish mine underneath, the rear arches, boot floor and floorpan (outside of chassis) are raptor'd but I want to pain the rear axle and front inner arches, I have the same springs and dampers that you just fitted, they work real well.

After a longer rear brake hose.

As the temperature has increased I thought it was time to fix hi guys. I want to fit an extended rear brake hose from body to the axle. At full drop mine is on its limit. Think.i need around 420mm length. Has anyone done this already and possibly have a part number of something that will fit...

My 90 series colorado, laning spec to begin with..

Rear shocks are removed... want to get a longer rear brake flex hose to fit while I am in the mood for working on it. this was the easy one to remove. The other side the lower inner had seized to the axle so had to carefully cut it off. Fuel tank is ready to go back in and the new shocks are...

As the temperature has increased I thought it was time to fix the leaking fuel line at the tank.. also believed to be the cause of an intermittent cutting out after first cold start. As the tank is out I am.also going to tackle the replacement of the rear shocks. The need cutting out! That...

    Ball joints.......

Measure the gap, then bottle Jack lifting from wishbone until wheel off the ground, remeasure. I have 1.2mm in 1 side and 1mm on the other so going to change mine. Think 0.5mm is expected.
