All very helpful comments thanks for the advice. The truck is a 12 valve 1991 one of the early 80 series. Fitting a full new kit tomorrow morning so will see if it fixes the ‘whipping’ issue fingers crossed!

Yes the tensioner was new same as the belt only done 25,000 miles. Possibly faulty tensioner? Maybe just put a brand new kit on again to see if that solves it. Never the best to re use a belt I suppose.

Having a slight coolant problem with it pushing a bit of coolant into the overflow tank when driving, so going to try a new cap. Anyone know where to get a genuine one from or anyone on here selling them?

Yes it’s got little holes on the metal where it’s just rusted through a bit. Do you know what size rubber pipe to get a believe if I get one with 45mm internal diameter it should clamp down onto it?

My fuel neck filler pipe is leaking, but cant find a new one anywhere which fits my model. Milner offroad sell a new one which only fits the 1992 model and upwards. Mine is a 1991 12 valve hdj80, if anyone has had similar problems or knows where to find one that would be much appreciated?

After some parts for my 1991 hdj80. •Need a full aluminium sill for passenger side. •Centre dash piece (the piece which fits over the radio and air conditioning buttons. •Top lock and handle for upper tailgate. •Wheel hub cap for bearing. Any help would be appreciated, cash waiting!

If I can’t get it out then I will try this method, however I’m pretty confident as we’ve practically rebuilt this truck so most things should come down easy. Thanks for the advice
