So ive got a 1999 hzj105 and there is no heater tap on the firewall as a few members have described above. Is there a difference in some models? My heater has stopped working and am trying to locate the tap . Whats the best way to get to it through the dash?

The lift was originally 4" hyperflex superior engineering kit with 11" shocks rear and 12" front. It actually measured closer to 5-6" lift so the caster angle...
Just wanted to get some opinions on some of the non standard pros and cons for fitting a bigger suspention lift. I get all standard ones discussed in alot of forums but recently i have been torn between keeping my 105 at 4" lift or to lower it down to 3" ( I cant go much lower than that without...
End up losing 60mm height in front and 50mm rear. Odd because i went from a medium in rear ro super heavy and light in front to heavy and still lost over 2" in overall height. Drives mich better on road though.
4" lift with 35" tyres. Im considering going to a 3" coil to lower the centre of gravity a bit but dont wanna lose any performance off road. Any experience or opinions would be appreciated
Rebuilt 1hdt with billet crank, forged rods, ceramic coated pistons. Custom HD valve springs, and acl high performance race bearings. Gturbo green wheel, mtq pump, hpd front mount cooler, holley red lift pump, radius fab ls1 airbox, safari clutch and billet flywheel.
Yeah thanks mate, i dont doubt its probably gonna sound like an small aircraft taking off but i can deal with that for the amount of earth these things look like they move.
Also spoke to a bloke here in AUS that has ran them on his 80 for a year now and said he has had no issues and definitely...
I really only drive the car on weekends so hopefully they last. I have spoken to a bloke who has used them on his daily for the past 24months with no problems averaging around 500km a week, said they do wear quicker than your average muddy but nothing ridiculous, saying that his car weighs much...
Well i bought them. Will be fitted up once engine is complete not going to run beadlocks at this stage see how they go on standard steelies if i roll too many beads lit bush ill lock them up. Will post on road results once ive done some kms on them
Ok so situation is, i am in the market for new tyres for my 105 series. I had ordered and paid for 5x 35" nitto mud grapplers and was later told they are unavailable in Australia. So i have been looking at other tyres such as simex et2 but cannot find any available but i have found some maxxis...
Downsized the turbo for the old model BadBoy Extreme to the new model green wheel.
Was recomended this turbo due to being better for responsiveness but still able to make over 200hp safely which is what my goals are as the new motor has cost too much to put to much power through.
Can work out how to upload photos here but i put a few pics of the new turbo in my media. Will post some updates once the motor is built on performance.
Yeah i have heard the yanmar variants make some big power. Im pretty excited to drive the 1hdt its getting whole bottom end balance done ceramic coated pistons, gturbo grunter extreme, pwr radiator and fmic all put on aswell. Just worried the box will be the next to die. Im not sure which...
Yeah i have found a bloke close to where i am located that specializes in the 1hd family of motors and is building me one up as we speak with all the good stuff. The warranty is still in question as the previous engine builder didint want to touch the engine block his solutions was for me to...
Well the 1hz lasted 9 months and 7000kms before it blew up again. Along with having a leaking engine block due to apparently not being crack tested during rebuild process. Which caused some overheating and damaged pistons and valves. I am now in process of converting to a 1hd-t cause my faith in...
Yeah its a little different to drive on road but after experimenting woth the shock dampeners i found a comfortable setting on road. But its mainly used as a 4x4 so on road handling is not an issue
I do like the garret turbos and have no doubt they are of high quality. I am only looking for experiences with either the grunter extreme or badboy at the moment though. My badboy extreme currently also has over 480,000km and still going strong. Gturbo also offer a 40% exchange for your old...
Gday all,
Looking for anyone with experience in running either the grunter extreme or bad boy turbos on their 1hd-t.
Im currently in process of converting my old 1hz 105 to a 1hd-t and am keeping alot of bolt ons as it already has a radius fab custom ls1 airbox and hpd fmic and a Gturbo Bad...
