Getting ready to pull the head and replace the head gasket, looking for some info. Do I/will I need to saperate the intake manifold to remove it,or can I just leave it in one piece and lay it to the side? The book I have seems a little vague(Chilton). All help and encouragement is greatly... -

Our 3rd LC, 1. 71 FJ 40 2. 79 FJ 40 here we are at #3, 96 FJ 80, picked her up yesterday,315,000 miles on chassis, 150,000 on Engine. blown head gasket on #6, will start to pull the head today. body pretty clean, rust on upper rear cargo door at the bottom of the window frame(both sides)...- night71
