    BF Goodrich or Cooper

I was in same dilemma mid November and ended up going for the Coopers mainly as they were £50+ per tyre cheaper and from reviews i'd seen they seemed good value for money. I've not had them on snow yet but they're very good on the road, quite happy with them. I'm based in highlands of Scotland...

Alternatives to Pedders AHC conversion kit

I had the pedders kit with torsion bars fitted last week, took it for a 70 mile A Road drive over the weekend and i'm very happy with it. Drives wonderfully. No pitch and rolling, very well dampened, all in all very happy wish I'd done it years ago. New tyres being fitted next week will see what...

Alternatives to Pedders AHC conversion kit

Interesting reading, just having mine converted to Pedders so will comment on how it rides vs OE once its finished. For myself it was purely a matter of convenience & cost. I can't afford to keep replacing bits in the hope that whatever is fitted fixes it, or not. Plus there aren't any...

    Toyota specialists in Scotland?

Parks in Inverness - useless. I rang twice, said they'd call back, never did so gave up. I'd like to use a 4x4/toyota specialist but not found one as yet.

    Hello from the UK

Welcome to the group. That 56 reg 4.7 above looks very nice, although, despite MOT history looking ok it is very cheap so i'd have questions, especially at such a low mileage. I'd suggest driving one/some to help with decisions, or at least going to view some & take tick list of what to look...

Looking to get into the 100 series

Interesting thread and comments. I had a 4.2TD 100 from 1998 a few years ago until it was costing more to keep than it was worth so it had to go (bad initial choice too much rust). I then found a pretty good 4.7 VX from 1999 which i've had for about a year and a half now. Neither are used for...

    Potentially purchasing a LC 100

Welcome to the forum. Out of interest : What mileage are you looking to do and what are you looking to do with it? I was in similar area this time last year and ended up going for a petrol for many reasons : they're cheaper than diesels, tend to have lower mileages, tend to be better looked...

Blasphemy Corner --If You Couldn't Have a Land Cruiser?

Not been mentioned and if i had more £ when looking would have been on my list : VW Touareg Altitude. Supposed to be a very good ots off roader and will tick lots of other boxes too.

@Jake the Peg - ooooh they look nice, maybe get back on two wheels in the not too distant future :). I'm on the road to Torr Dhuin, happy to meet up in the village for a coffee.

Sorry to hear the turn of events that lead you to the hospital & hope you feel better soon. I too have had chest pains earlier this year but having had a phone chat, I kid you not, with a doctor he decided it was down to stress (moving house, blah) and to monitor once i'd moved. Also don't...

    Something getting hot

Thanks for comments, i've booked it in to local garage to have transmission fluids replaced. I've had since end october so don't know when it was done last. Will test again after and take it from there.

    Something getting hot

Thanks, it does do it if I’m in drive too so maybe the gearbox oil just needs replacing. That will be easiest and something on my list of things to do anyway. Thanks.

    Something getting hot

Thanks for comment - is that something that needs a gearbox specialist or a normal garage can do ? It’s fine for long journeys btw only on this particular route does it show itself.

    Something getting hot

I need a little help on something that’s bugging me on my 99 4.7 auto. If I use 2nd gear (or D) at 40mph going up a nearby mountain for maybe 3-4minutes steady part throttle I can smell oil like something overheating. Can drives fine on full throttle, nice and smooth not clunking which I had...

    Toyota specialists in Scotland?

Evening Just a quick check to see if anyone has details of any Land Cruiser specialists in Scotland, ideally near Inverness or Fort William. I’m moving house soon so thought I’d see what is around. Thanks

    Remapping

The tables are there, I've not highlighted them but pictures below show you where they are, just need to spend time to find them. The other ones should be in a similar position relative to these, how long it takes will depend on how long you've been using WINIOLS for ;)

Sure, this is the main injection table. It should be scaled enough and just inject the fuel correctly depending on X/Y axis. Some of these tables are 8 bit, some are 16 plus it has floating point tables too. Have fun :)

I don't have that ID although could probably get hold of it if needed but do have a 4.5 V8 TDI project so i've put a few the EGR, Boost and torque tables below, you don't need to adjust the injection tables on these. Any more questions pop a reply or PM me. Hope this is helps.

    Remapping

What are you using to flash the car, also to view the maps? Some bits of software can search your vehicles binary read and display in the correct format, with factors applied showing X/Y axis. This would save you a lot of time and effort, although you are limited to just what the software...

    Back in a 100 Series

Two fill ups today: first was after the last few weeks pooling around town, 11mpg average. Second was after a trip to work HQ Which was 142mile round trip mostly on motorway, 19mpg. Pretty much what I was expecting and I’m running MTs so that won’t be helping lol. What does anyone else get?

    Back in a 100 Series

I picked this ‘99 100 Series 2UZ-FE Auto, 135k, with General Grabber MT, up a few weeks ago. Since the demise of my last 100 (rust) and unfortunate series of events with the 80, I’ve been cruiser-less but happy to be back in one again. She’s not perfect but in much better general shape that the...

Help identifying my alloys - 96 80 Series

Afternoon Is anyone able to help me identify the alloys fitted to my 80? My new insurance company has asked so I'm looking into it as much as possible. It's an Australian import so they may have originated from there, not sure. Any help very much appreciated, thanks. Michael
