Hey mate, in a couple of weeks I'll be heading to Bristol to view the Mits L200 that @Dervis Garip put me on to, I figured if things don't work out perhaps I could take a look at your Land Cruiser? What price were you thinking of letting it go for? Cheers

A little disconcerting! :) From what I can gather, the stock shocks aren't so good so if there's a lot of weight on the back end and the shocks fail, the chassis can't take the sudden load transfer since the axle sits further forward than most. Either this guy's cleaned the shocks or they're new...

He said "it's an import so the chassis is solid". I don't know why it would make it more solid, but it's a good thing yeah?

@AndycruiserguyLomas such a generous offer mate, thanks. It looks like the perfect state I'd love my lc to be in, but up until this point I've been looking at the ones that have certain features already there, like a bullbar and snorkle or tires, roof rack, shocks etc. At least some winching...

Solid advice @Chris, looking through a lot of Landrovers and one can be had for about 6000gbp that's already proven itself. Girlfriend agrees! A lot of good defender's in the UK, absolutely trashed in the rest of Europe for some reason.

@nick_the_fish yup! Looking to take the East route through Ethiopia and Kenya. To be honest I'm not looking for anything too rough, more like, if we see something in the distance over some sand dunes, I'd like to be confident that I can twirl the wheel and go straight at it like a pidgeon :)
