Tolerances have changed but diesel is the same (more or less). Never had any problems with injectors after taking them out, make sure they're full of diesel and plug feed/return, that's it, there is nothing else you can do. If they do fail there was something wrong with them in the first place...

It's either fuel filter housing or rotten pipes on top of the tank. Change the housing as if it didn't pack up yet it will in near future and see how it goes. You can always fit a one way valve on the supply pipe as a temporary measure.

Anyone can use oil based paints but why would you? Or did you mean proper(lead) oil based red oxide? There is restrictions on using some paints containing isocyanates if that's what you meant but they'll never phase them out completely as they're in all lacquers, even some water based paints...

Sorry it didn't notify me about your last replies. There is no tilt but the mechanism got a little kick up at the end so when the panel is almost closed it goes up, it should go down/back at the start of opening.

Just use water resistant cv grease. Yes land rovers use oil and they leak all the time that's why even for those land rover now recommends and sells "one shot" tub of cv grease :)

Just take the belt off and see what's seized. If it's the alternator it isn't that hard to get it out on v8. Just make sure that after unbolting everything you push the p/s pump down and to the right, in front of engine to take alternator out, much easier than trying to pull it up.

BJ40 is more or less the same wheelbase as lj71, it would fit. Don't know if gap between bulkhead and engine is really something to concern yourself with unless you're more about looks than purpose... He may need to do slight body lift , make sure sump clears the diff etc

You should start with saying what budget you've got as there is a whole range of stuff that would work in your application. If you are looking for something more usable then leaving your original box isn't really the best idea. Your best bet would be to pick a gearbox first and go from there...

Had a quick look on toyodiy cross reference and it shows up only as 120 no other vehicles . In theory it's a fail to remove it, in practice i remove it myself on 70 series
