2001 Colorado 95. D4d. It looked like the original alternator so its done 260 thousand miles.

Replaced the alternator. What a bitch of a job. "It comes out through the wheel arch"! Does it hell. Out the bottom after draining the coolant and taking the hoses off.

Cam belt, serpentine belt and new radiator on the Collie. At 70k since the last change cam belt looked like new. Radiator was peace of mind. 22years and 250,000 miles was probably pushing my luck.

Germany looks like a total ban also

If i unlock on the remote it relocks unless you open a door, however briefly. Mine has never relocked after a door has been opened.

I don't think the prado has a rear diff lock. I believe they are mostly fitted with an LSD. You would need to change the complete diff, maybe more.

Latest update. I work with a mobile mechanic and he has just tried both of his expensive code readers and neither will talk to the car. Next step is to start pulling apart connectors to check and clean them.
