I believe the previous owner had his money's worth out of it, and the mechanic I used did everything put the issues I wanted done, or seem to make them worse, no didn't do anything to it, kept it standard and followed fourby4 diesel's advice

I do believe my LC went and ruined my Christmas by cracking a piston even with all my prevention efforts, I'm just wondering what's the best line of attack, what do people recommend, new engine or remanufactured to much for a 17yr old car

I'm hoping it's just out of balance, don't think it's transmission or engine I hope, more like prop out of balance, maybe needs re greasing

I'm at this stage in my land cruisers life where the EGR needs replacing, obviously Toyota want to bend me over and give me a good seeing to, I don't really want to spend that kind of money if there is another way, recommendations please

Have realigned the valves, this must be done everytime the injectors are replaced, they are not hydraulic, they are manual, i have similar problems, constant rattling, and little over fueling causing small misfire only when cold, but the rattle is constant, even when warmed, but the rattle is...

They where reconditioned, at the time i couldn't afford brand new 1s, thats why i wanted them checked, as i have 12m warranty on them

I had the injectors changed because of a misfire and this problem did show up around this time, i was thinking it could of been a faulty injector, so had them checked by 2 different garages checked by diagnosis machine, not taken out and tested

No i dont, i did have them replaced 5000miles ago, and had them checked twice by separate garages, i had issues with the air mass sensor, but all replaced and running well apart from the the cold start, how do i get this techstream

Start up and idle is normal, no misfires, no smoke, just the driving from cold, everyday i have to use power heat to get her upto to temperature before driving, normal takes 10mins for engine to warm up, and then runs perfect, no funny noises, not burning oil, not using coolant, doesnt use...

#9 Had the injectors changed, had them re checked, replaced the air temperature sensor, its been on 2 different diagnostic machines, no faults, normal readings

Mine 2, but really loud, could be, think thats next on my list to do, didnt really check them, didnt really think they had an issue with them

Now runs perfect when warm, but seriously can't even move it before its warm, when left idling no issue, drive it wow sounds im hitting 2 hammers together, experts can't find a fault with it

If anyone else is experiencing the same thing, is it a normal thing for car??

Hi again, i have a question, the 3.0 D4D, every morning, or cold start do you really need to sit and wait for it to warm up, i do, i have replaced EVERYTHING, injectors/seats/seals, air mass, serviced when recommended, use the recommended oils, but no every morning it sounds like steam...

Hi thanks for the replies and support, i believe it could be injectors, even though I had them changed, i have the so called death rattle, also have the misfire when cold, i think the blue smoke could be oil leaking from an injector, im going to these checked as its still on warranty
