    Well, I took her in to a recommended alignment centre yesterday to have the wheel alignment done saw that the welded washer route was taken, so no worries in the future.

    I believe Caracal Leather & Canvass in Boksburg do a fantastic seat rebuild job. One of the things on my list is also the driver's side seat. They made a great canvass dash cover with pockets etc. for me a couple of years ago.

    I have a 1994 GX Carb model with exactly the same problem. Also well over 300k km. I've actually learned to live with it as it is mainly used for long distance holiday/caravanning. Maybe take it to an old-timer carb specialist. What town are you in? (I'm in Benoni.)
