    Front Body Mount Bushes?

Hello all! I've tried searching, but not had any luck so far. Does anyone know where I can source front body mount bushes? Are they Toyota only? I couldn't see any at Roughtrax or Milners..... Thank you

New Trail Gear 80 Series NON ABS extended brake lines.

I have a set of Trail Gear 6" extended stainless steel brake lines up for grabs. I bought them just before Christmas for an MOT, they were advertised as fitting my vehicle but don't! They will only fit non ABS 80s. The packaging has been opened, but the lines are unused / brand new. I paid...

Recommendations for a garage / person to complete a diff regear

I did think it would cost about the same to make a new exhaust and a FMIC as for paying for the diffs to be done. Mine is a bit sluggish before the turbo kicks in (I plan on a tinker) and it struggles to stay at the speed limit on a local hill. I will look at of the suggestions and advice before...

Recommendations for a garage / person to complete a diff regear

I'm looking for someone who can regear my 80 series diffs to 4.88 ('95,24v, triple locked, manual, thinking of 35s) I've had Hiluxes for years and was either lucky enough to buy regeard diffs or just swap in another factory option. Can anyone recommend a business or person to do them? Ideally...

Hazard switch repurposed as "on / off" switch?

So as per the title, I've read about people using a Hazard switch as an on/off switch to control accessories, however none of the pages or links (that I can find) show a pin-out diagram of which points are switched in use. Can anyone help before I get all scientific and electrocute myself with...

BUMPER FINALLY ON THE 80! I've had the bumper since the middle of October and finally managed to get it on the 80 today. I'd planned on a very lazy day off in the sun (self employed, days off are rare!) but then SWMBO told me she was working from home..........off up to the workshop then All...

The correct TJM replacement lenses were going to be about £80 from Oz iirc, so no chance in hell was I going to pay that! I bought some ebay special bulb holders, led bulbs, chemical metal and an a4 sheet of orange acrylic. Less than £20 to the door and they look ok! There were some generic...

Had a look inside the winch gearbox today.... it was as good as expected I was going to clean it all up, pack it with grease and get it sealed today, but I ran out of grease. I've never had a winch apart before, its quite interesting with all the planetary gears etc

The bumper came with a built in cradle and hydraulic winch. I think TJM had the cradle / winch as an optional extra as it is possible to just mount the bumper without the cradle. As for painting, I sanded the bumper then applied an etch primer. After that I filled a few holes and dents before...

So after my MOT work was done, I decided to play with the more exciting bits..... I've got a nice little stockpile of bits n bobs to go on the 80, and nearly all of it has been bought 2nd hand at bargain prices. I'm handy with a box of spanners and quite like wrenching a bit of life back into...

Putting a switch on 96 ABS

Afternoon all. So I was out in the snow / ice the other day and long story short, I found the ABS rather unpleasant. I didn't feel as in control as I have in previously owned vehicles in similar conditions (3.0 Surf, 2.4 Hilux, 4.0 V8 Hilux, all with a similar setup tyres etc) Now in day to...

Another crack of the whip today. The drivers side has been much more involved, seats out, carpet up.... I'm loving it So far I've had to cut out and replace a fair chunk of the inner sill and outer sill, the end of the sill into inner arch, the inner body mounts and a small section of the...

80's first MOT during my ownership, time to get cracking!

I got the standard rate +2" instead of the uprated rate. Got a few hours in this morning, bit of a bittersweet time though. The passenger side is almost ready for the arch / bumper to go back on, but the drivers side is considerably worse than it first looked. Which is frustrating as I thought...

80's first MOT during my ownership, time to get cracking!

The chassis needs a going over with a needle gun and wire wheel in a couple of places, but I'm concentrating on getting it through the MOT. I was expecting to find holes behind the spare tyre mount, but I was lucky! Didn't even shear any bolts removing it!!
