The is heat shield over the exhaust just above the rear axle. Only 2 bolts are holding it, from and rear, maybe it vibrates on the floor bed just aft of the third row.

I put a new insulation. I also installed a sheet of aluminum in the forward part to reduced the heat generated by the exhaust.

Can’t hurt if you try. Your main concern is to find the source of the rattle. If WD40 help then you can go deeper and grease it.

I would try to grease the bushings. Rattles can be a pain to eliminate. You‘ll have to rule out all the cause one by one. Be patient, you’ll find it.

I had the same problem with my truck, I found that my side steps were the problem. Check that all the screws are tight.

If it’s a spring loaded torque wrench, I have the habit to put it back to minimum value when I don’ use it. That way the spring keeps its strength.
