    Adjusting 80 series steering box

    You can adjust the preload on a steering rack but you never really need to as there are less joints in a steering rack so less play felt at the wheel

    looks nice but looks like a front end repair, bonnet gaps look massive no side moulding fitted to the front wings white looks of to the back and also the steering wheel will fail a mot seeing as a 97 was fitted with airbags.

    408,000 miles

    I think this car was on ebay at the end of last year. I think the old owner had this and a burgundy lc they where both spares or repairs with running faults looked like a haualge company so i would say the have had a hard life even if they have good service history

    well i got a lot on till after crimbo. i have just moved in to my own place so weekends are a no no at the moment. This is a old pic below it now has a side exit exhaust front winch behind std bumper and a boot spolier next will be tyres.

    you need a slide hammer for that bent piller ben. tack weld some bolts or screws to the pannel and use the slide hammer to pull it out.

    welcome stumog there are a couple of cruisers around bristol but not many on this forum i have done most of the lanes around bristol bath area but i find the 80 is to wide as most are very over grown. would be nice to have a bristol meet maybe some laning then on to a pub?

    MOT fail on brake lines

    you will find most cars that age will need brake pipes and a 4x4 like a landcruiser that will be used offroad and maybe putting boats in the water most of its life. end of the day they are made of steel not copper like the one's you make up.
