    Ignition barrel replacement

Mine was nowhere near that - it was a few years ago but like I said it was £66 !! Sounds like they are trying to charge you for the whole thing rather than just the barrel. Probably with 2 new keys & some other bits. The only part number I can find is 69057-60490 but I think that is with a cut key

Wooden steering wheel for Amazon wanted

I'm still looking for a wheel & came across this old thread! My wheel is all leather - that's what is sticky, the wooden one is what I am after. They now have some grey ones on Ebay but I'm after a black one! cheers Chris

    24 mpg are you serious?

Just curious but is the circumference the same on the new tyres as the old ones? When I worked out mine with bfg's on the circumference is bigger than the original tyres so the speedo is reading slightly wrong - giving a wrong mileage & hence MPG would read higher. Unless you were tracking it...

    Updating Navigation Software??

I have just updated mine to a 2012 map from the original (I have a late 2003) and it works great. Still no postcode option though :disappointed:

    Land Cruiser 100 Thump Noise

I didn't grease the prop myself so I'm not sure how much grease was put in but I asked them to fill it until it came out at the joints as all the forums seem to suggest. I know you aren't supposed to on the 80's but on the 100's it is recommended.

    Land Cruiser 100 Thump Noise

    Now it's the windscreen

I would make sure you replace the clear sticky pad on the rain sensor when you replace the windscreen. I have just put one on mine after 5 years of cursing the auto wipers every time it rained - it's now fantastic - although the small sticky pad cost about £14 !! from the stealer. cheers Chris

Just wondering because I changed my ignition barrel & forgot to put the transponder ring back in & it wouldn't start!

    UZJ100 immobiliser fault

Do you have the flashing red light on your dash Jon? I'm not sure what year they changed (or if they did) but mine has a sensor built into the ignition key & when the key is inserted the red flashing 'security' light stops flashing - showing the immobiliser is off. If you have that it shows if...

    front fogs with DRL's

That's what I was wondering Andy, how bright they are etc. I think the DRL's should go off when the headlights go on so would a relay be needed? Sorry - what is CREE by the way? I have seen a couple of different styles - all from China - I'm just trying to find someone who has fitted some...

Hi Towpack, I've got a V8 and had it 3 1/2 years now I think. I had an 80 before for 10 years & loved it but the 100 is much more refined. My 100 is petrol with LPG and I kept a record of all the petrol & LPG I used for about 3 years until my phone updated & lost the app I was using - gutted! It...

battery light comes on when the headlights are turned on!

Thanks for your replies, there is definitely a charge as the voltage is 14+ when running, but the light wasn't coming on with anything else taking a load - so must be a fault with the headlights. It has now gone off! so there must be a loose connection somewhere, I noticed it was flickering a...

battery light comes on when the headlights are turned on!

I've just noticed that my battery light comes on when the headlights are turned on!! Or when the headlights are flashed! I have a volt meter plugged in the cigarette lighter & it is showing 11-12 volts when engine not running & 13-14.4 when it is - so it must be charging. It doesn't come on...

    Lpg pr not ???

Hi, LPG is fine if you use a good system & install a flash lube system. Mine has done 170,000 and been converted from nearly new. The range with a small spare wheel tank is only 200-240 miles so you need a larger tank for range. The main consideration is availability of LPG and the price versus...
