looks like my speedo cable is on its last legs. Hit about 40 and it starts making an almighty whirrrrring noise:icon-confused: from the back of the instrument pod, needle then looks like its got the shakes!! I recall reading somewhere that the connection of the speedo cable to the instrument...

a group of friends recently did the 'Motorscape banger rally - 10 countries in 10 days'.....they had a lexus 400 with LPG. They had to take the ferry as they didn't allow LPG on the eurotunnel.

I had the same problem on mine. Changed the glow plugs, had a leak in the pipework off the tank (replaced these with new Mr T pipes), and still the same....Turns out it was a faulty started not cranking the pump enough.......Might be a good idea to check everything anyway (amazing how much crap...

Easy job, I just removed a couple of bits of pipework to get at two of them. TAKE CARE when removing them, they can crack/snap off in the head if tey have been there along time... I gave them a good soaking in wd or similar overnight...they came out easy enough.

we shouldn't moan...you exceed the speed limit in 30, 40 and 50 limits and get caught....tough, they have been around for long enough and are there for a reason. I for one have had to pick up the pieces when children/adults have been knocked over by vehicles....all I can say is excess speed does...

Not LC but...... Ive got 5 x 15" 7jj chrome wheels in fairly good order, slight crazing to chrome finish, rims not buckled/bent. 5 stud off a vitara. Wheels only looking for £50. Could stick on a pallet... pack of locking wheel nuts for vitara £10? locking spare wheel holder again for vitara...

that 'tinternet site on fleabay. the glass isn't a perfect fit, but does the job (must be a slightly different casing on the pre '90 model as its a mill or two out in two corners...but stays in the casing!

got my new glass in the post today, thanks for everyones help. :thumbup: Cei.
