    Morocco trip, traveling advice please

Jimmy, I drove to Morocco via Dover, France, Spain and Cueta last year. To be honest the cost of driving, tolls, accomodation/ camsites en route isn't much different from getting the ferry to Spain and driving to cueta. You can see a detailed breakdown of costs here -...

    My head hurts already

No private (apparently) took two other calls when we were out (one about a hi-lux). Getting impatient.....Bit harder than I thought finding a low milage 5dr Colorado VX with stamped service history. Seem to get snapped up quickly. I'm assuming by dealers, as there are not many private sales.

95 Series Colorado with 1KZ-TE engine

Must have no more than 120,000miles on clock and FULL stamped service history. Have already been let down by a couple of mis-described motors. It will be given a very thorough going over. I'm not a fan of red.....it clashes with my eyes.

I went look at a Colorado '1998' (yes change my mind again - want the older engine) yesterday advertised with 104,000 miles on the clock with FSH . Took 2 hours drive to get there, and the milage on the clock was 134,000 and he couldn't find the service book......Grrrrrrrrr

Camp bed - what to get?

Bit late now....but google 'American Cot' I have two, and they are VERY well made and comfortable. http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/ishop/1069/shopscr310.html They are military issued, but you see them regularly on ebay. My ones are ten years old get used a lot and are still tight as a...

So what makes a truck "Overland/Expedition" ready?

Well serviced, gear arranged so that you dont have to turf everything out to get something, a fridge and BFG tyres. After that, it depends on your bank balance and how bored you are.

    DIY Fridge slide

Land Cruiser Club Morocco Guide (please contribute)

This morocco 4x4 forum was started by me after a trip to Morocco in a Discovery last year. Hopefully it will grow and help others organise their own trips. It is open to all makes of 4x4, and is solely about Morocco. http://sahara-overland.proboards.com/index.cgi?

My Discovery (cough) is on ebay. Don't think I'll be buying a Cruiser from a dealer, but thank you for the heads up.

Am I right in saying that the 120 series has an 87L tank?

Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe I should have asked .....how good do you find your D4D powered land Cruiser?

    My head hurts already

Yes it has. But if what people are saying on here, and other forums/websites are correct....TLCs don't tend to suffer from electronic managment problems. Would love to hear from anyone on here who has???????

Many thanks Graham. I can live with between 25-30. But I think with the cost of fuel these days 20 would be a non starter.

Hello from a Jock living in Kent.

I think I have pretty much narrrowed it down to the Colorado D4D. Wish they had the same rear door / spare wheel set up as the 80 Series tho.

I have been looking at some reviews and hope that someone may be able to clarify something about the Colorado D4D The following site gives fuel consumption between 20 -35 on a run....so who's lying (I have a light foot) http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews2186.html

    My head hurts already

I want something that needs no more than a volt meter to find an electrical fault. I bought and prepped an L200 double cab (02) reg which is fly by wire. It kept going into limp mode going up steep hills (which would be a tad inconvenient in the Atlas Mountains). I thought it might be the...

    My head hurts already

I'll cut to the chase. I have a budget of 8k to buy my next set of wheels (which I hope will be a Land Cruiser). I do not want fly-by-wire or anything that potentially needs a laptop to fix it. Been there done that. Will only get used as a daily run around, camping in France and once a year to...

Hello from a Jock living in Kent.

Hello fellas, and no doubt lassies. I don't have a LC at the moment, but would like to look at the various models and peoples experiences with them. I am off on another Morocco later this year, and looking for something that if it did go wrong, I don't need a laptop to fix it. Anyways....I'm...
