    Dilemma

My poor long suffering KZE 3.0 has suddenly developed head gasket failure or a cracked head or block.... Do I just sell as is or do i fix it, I've just won 2 large contracts so I have no time spare for the next 6months! Do they crack heads normally or only if they are "cooked"

    LJ70 Build Thread!

I'd agree with Roger on the A frame mounts. There is mountains of info on suspension design on the web it's worth a read Is it just me or is the diff angled up? It will be better if it isn't as props shaft flanges need to be parallel - ever at big angles - There are videos on you tube...

    Fitting a 2" suspension lift

Mine is a KZJ71 i was sure I had the wrong springs TBH I still think the rears are wrong.... But the ironman numbers where correct - they seem to long(rides nose down) and are to hard for my liking unless it's loaded to the gunwales. Nice looking 79 you have there

    Fitting a 2" suspension lift

Springs on mine where a right game to fit, the axles would not just drop far enough under there own weight. i used spring compressors to get the old out, the new which where massive compared to the old so it was a right game jack the axle down compress the spring struggle some and ram them in...

Ben from all my experiences of ARB's the air leak will be in the diff, blank them off at the axle and see what happens Also working in the mines...... Anyone running Jet Fuel in their diesel?

Kero isn't kind to moving parts ie your injectors and pump i play with big industrial burners which consume gallons of it daily and its amazing the damage it does in comparison to gas oil. I'm sure with a little lube it will be be fine. My brother used to fill his RAF landy with kerosene rather...

How stupid can a mechanic be??

Yep it's very hard to find a main stealer with a brain! When I had a D40 navara pick up it used to muller front wheel bearing regularly, the tell tail was the wheel bearing noise followed quickly by the ABS light coming on. First time it did it I jacked it up and confirmed a wheel bearing...

Advice required on better grip in snow - keep getting stuck!

Must be something wrong with driver, truck or tyres..... I was out on the local moors at the weekend and there was lots of ice and snow (difficult to find the road sort of snow:) ) Didn't get any wheel spin unless it was provoked, drove past a shogun sport reversing down from a failed hill...

    new 70 series!

I'm sure you'll be working hard once you get to that hatefully hot spider and snake ridden country Ben and will be able to afford one before you know it! Oz always looks like a land of opportunity but I don't like heat and stuff that wants to bite you! My parents where all set to go in the...

    Suspension suggestions.

All I can help with is the iron man kit is a bit rubbish! That said mine has been fine since the install a couple of years ago.The spring rate is a bit high I think and I'm sure they are made for a LWB.They seem to have settled down a bit now- but I'm still thinking of snipping one coil off the...

How do you intend to joint the pillars, butt joints? In the past when I've fitted roofs, quarters etc I have always staggered the cuts on pillars, that is cut the inner and outer parts at different lengths. It makes getting it all back in line is easier as there's something to clamp together /...
