And now for the final post methinks. The fault was in the stalk, the on off button on the end is comprised of a sliding copper terminal which makes the connection, it is retained by a plastic clip .. which was in a number of bits which left the copper terminal loose. Gorilla super glue applied...

Light on the dash not always on. The shortcut for the stalk was from the thread Andy lomas passed on and the numbers matched up. It looks identical to the others posted. Maybe it will get better with use ...... Not a clever thing to say but the gremlins may get bored and Bugger off if I pretend...

Just been out there and had a furtle all the way round the front and top bulkheads and nothing with a plug on it. I can only hope that someone out there with a d4d manual fitted with cc .... With a kind heart could track the wire from the plug up the the harness and take a pic of it or better...

Well after a bit of a break we may be coming ... so far it’s just me and Lindz it will be great to be back .... in the 90 this time .. as the 70 is at its new home in Romania now.

A big happy 2018 to everyone. I've still got the old ARB off my 70 (KZJ78) complete with a goodwinch and RC which is handy and may swap at this stage but ... If I don't find one for the 90 soon ... it's going to get cut up and made to fit. ANY IDEAS ANYONE Cheers Rob

That's where I got mine too .. you'll have to make sure you get the right number of studs, they aren't all the same on the 70s. Good luck

I don't know if this is any help but I have a kzj78 which had the same problem. The contact brushes on the shaft were the problem, they were worn out. Firstly I made new brushes out of old alternator brushes. These lasted a season but failed just when I was in a tricky situation. My final answer...

Ok, happy to say that we finally have a result. On top of the gearbox behind the gear lever there is a lock out switch, it was faulty and very difficult to get to, so it is now by passed. The switch function stopped the diff lock being engaged in high ratio. All working well now. Thanks to Bob...

Hi Bob, thanks for your kind help. all was ok and no faults found on plugs, sensor, actuator and fuse. I have got to the point where I am waiting for an auto spark to test the wiring between the switch and the diff. Plus everything in between. At least the spark will have an assistant...
