Update - electric wire soldered together in the plastic housing. Engine light not come on again. Touch wood!!

Dont know about ‘01 on ‘06, but I fitted 2003 onwards on 2002 (pre facelift), it’s not like for like. Had to cut some of the plastic away at the back. Wire to keep it not falling out is same though.

Hi Uhu, Thanks for the reply! Engine light goes on and then limp mode (sometimes right after i start, othertimes while driving). After restarting its good till the next time. Mechanic says i have to replace the throttle butterfly (electric on mine). £275 from Toyota. Had the same issue 2 years...

Dont know about the whine, but seems to be a 100 “thing”. Replaced eight years ago, but exact same place cracked again. Realised one day before trip to Belgium. Then looked through old foto’s i took when i thought the turbo had gone and realised i’ve been driving like this for at least two years.

Have tracked mine since i got it 12 years ago. 6.2 km / liter avg. when towing 1.2 ton teardrop trailer it’s 5.2 km / liter. 2002 pre-facelift model.

We have a tuff trek that’s fitted on the teardrop. It has an “awning” that covers all three openings which works well. Used it for one season now without any issues - touch wood. Good luck choosing!

Cheers. Will remove the bump stop. No kevlar- Checked with Dan Levy but he says no kevlar on this airbag model. Did not specifically say it is included when i ordered so cant really do anything about it.

Good morning. After seeing Philip’s post I ordered a set (non onboard controls) from On Air. Non ahc. Instructions was to remove wheels, springs and bump stops, but i fitted it by jacking up lc, forcing air out of bags and pushing them through the spring gaps. Supposed to feed pipe up...
