Measured the distance yesterday before I took the rack off. It was sitting 10cm from the roof to the underside of the cross rail of the rack at the front and 6.5cm from the roof at the back.
Cheers
Steve
This shock absorber was fitted to the rear of my Land Cruiser but only for a few weeks so it is in good condition apart from a mark at one end - see picture.
Not really too sure how to price it so I'm open to offers but I'm looking for around £30 collected from near Oxford. I can post it at...
Hi
I bought a set of window rubbers earlier in the year and have only used those for the two front doors hence I have for sale the window rubbers for the two rear doors.
They are genuine Toyota parts - please see picture for the part number.
I'm after £80 for the pair and I will happily post...
Hi Warren
At this point I would prefer to sell it all as one lot but if nobody is interested after a little while then I will split the pack.
thanks
Steve
Hi

Following the sale of my 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series (4.2 TD auto) I have for sale the following spare parts which would make a handy spare parts package for expedition travel or just to have on the shelf in the garage. I would prefer to sell this lot as one package.
All of the following...
For Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series
I bought this from a fellow forum member a couple of years ago who in turn bought if from the guy on this forum who made it (Gav Peter)
It is never been fitted and is therefore in as new condition. I'm looking for £50 for it. I will post it at cost (probably...
For a Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series.
This fixes to the car in four places (second row seat belt mountings and by using two holes in the boot floor from the existing cargo tie down rings) and no drilling is required.
In very good condition.
The item is located near Oxford and is collection...
Hi
Having sold my 80 series I am putting up for sale a number of items which I will post on here first for a few days before putting on ebay.
The first item is a Front Runner Wind cheater roof rack for an 80 series. It is only a couple of years old and was supplied and fitted by Frogs Island...
Hi
Thanks for the replies chaps, very helpful. It sounds like it's do-able just need to be a bit careful higher up the mountains and camp lower down. I will probably try to avoid the higher parts of RB1 and RB3 then to be on the safe side as it's just us at the moment.
Mal, hope your trip goes...
Hi
I'm planning a trip to the Pyrenees in the middle two weeks of May. I've read the write ups on here from other members who have been to the Pyrenees in the last couple of years which were very interesting and a source of inspiration to organise my own trip based on the road books by...
Hi
I have been to Morocco twice with Trailmasters and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Apart from two people, everyone who was on the trip had travelled with Trailmasters before. The chap who owns the business is called John Reader, he runs the trips himself and certainly knows the...
I'm after a 285/75/16 tyre. It's going to be for spare so doesn't need to have loads of tread, but does need to be road legal.
Willing to travel within Oxfordshire to pick it up.
thanks
Steve
Hi
I have had a MyWay Rooftent for two years and in that time I have used for two trips to Morocco, one trip to the Pyrenees and various camping weekends away in the UK. It has stood up to sand storms very well and has stood up to lashing rain and howling wind on trips to the Lake District and...
Hi Chris
I have had my car looked at again very recently. Taking the rear prop off made no difference, but after taking the front prop off the noise disappeared. The front diff has been inspected and I am told it is fine.
So I'm thinking my problem can only be related to the transfer box so...
Evening
Thanks for the various replies, very useful although I have gone slightly cross eyed reading some of the links
I spoke to Kenlowe today (spoke to a chap called Jeff, very helpful as Tom said) and they will do a 13 row cooler with all the pipes etc for £175, which seems fine to...
Hi
I would like to fit an extra oil cooler to help keep my auto box cooler on a forthcoming trip to Morocco and I have in mind one from Kenlowe
www.kenlowe.com/oil-coolers/automatic/technical.html
Has anyone fitted one of these before and if so what was your experience, would you recommend...
Just stumbled across this. I have a similar noise on mine. From about 45mph the noise is noticeable and as you say Chris you can play a tune. Mine seems particularly loud between 50mph and 65mph and as soon as you lift off the power the noise stops.
I had a seperate problem with my autobox last...
Thanks for the reply's chaps.
The car is running 285/85/16 tyres and I don't intend to fit anything bigger.
Can I check I have understood things correctly?
Assuming I swap the box to a manual and leave the axles as they are then the car will cope fine but it will rev higher at motorway speeds...
