    AHC removal / lift install

I am just considering coming back to sensible Landcruiser ownership. My question is, when taking out the AHC. Does anything need turning off in the electronics or is it just pull the fuse and disconnect? No warnings light up on the dash etc? I ask as the possible cheap project has numerous...

    Rear pressure hose drivers side

It is possible with angled ring scanners to take off the top hose, also to unbolt the damper with the body in place, as I have done so on my first V8. It is however, very much a patient task and takes ages! You also need to bend in very odd directions if laid under the car and not on a lift of...

    Hello and LPG question

Generally speaking the converted cars are usually £1,000.00 more than a car which is not converted. It is not always the best way to go as you could be buying someone else troublesome conversion. Having had my fair share of converted LPG cars. Only one was already on LPG when I brought it. That...

    Active suspesion

I am on my second 100 series, both have been V8's on LPG. They have been used for work and generally always have boot full of tools & equipment. The first I had for three years. It did the sit down in low setting when pushing a trailer into some driveways and dragging out. Even when the trailer...

    Warrens new 100 build

That would be great thanks Warren. On the ARB bumpers, my previous one of these had one on it and the powder coating started to rust on the rear one from below the surface, when I complained to the supplying party (from down west) they said not an issue that can be fixed, live with it! It was...

    Warrens new 100 build

Evening, If you want to sell the original bumpers when you change over to the ARB ones would you please let me know, as I am just down the road from you and the would make my car look much tidier! Thank you Barry

    4.7 V8 Stainless Steel exhaust

Thank you for the advice, I think I might forget the headers and just go for manifold back. Will see if she passes MOT next month and that will give me a bit more time to decide

    4.7 V8 Stainless Steel exhaust

I would like to get at some point in the near future a complete SS exhaust for my V8 100. Ideally would like this to include headers, cats and the rest of the exhaust, following standard route is fine and not looking to sound like a boy racer! Just want long term peace of mind and not pay main...

    Enough is enough

I actually think it is a sign of the times. The last two or three years people are more rushed, in a hurry to get under the wheels of my car etc. What annoys me more is on a single track, the approaching car passes a pull in space and tries to make you climb the bank to get out of their way...

    Enough is enough

I think you will find it does not work. The roads are full with idiots who are either to stupid to realise it will hurt or do not care it will hurt! My last 100 had ARB bumpers front and rear. Did not stop idiots driving at you in non existant gaps, or crashing into the bar to stop themselves...

3rd row leather seats.....what are they worth????

I put my grey ones on ebay and had no interest in them. Someone did ask for the seatbelt mounts out of the car that I had not removed! :violin:

    Towing

Lots of hire places do trailer hire, which would be cheaper than buying an A frame. From memory 30 to 35.00 per day from the one I have used in Oxfordshire. A lot of indespension trailer retailers also do hire of trailers. Hope that helps?

    4.7 V8 running rough

I agree with Jon, its age that has caused them to expire. When mine started I changed all the ones in one bank of cylinders, working out which were good and saving for a spare in case of later issues. I was told that if you are running with failed coil packs it put extra load on the others and...

    Key Fob

Mine came with a broken original one, but it is 12yrs old! My last one had separate fob to key as it was older still, not sure if the bits out of the key would fit one of those fobs as I did not manage to break any of them for the three years I had that one? Just a thought.

    Key Fob

Hello, I brought two off of ebay very recently. They were genuine Toyota ones and just moved the insides from the broken to the new. Did need to get the key blank cut as that is not moveable part from old to new. But work fine and really pleased with purchase.

    4.7 V8 running rough

Not sure what mileage your car has done, but the ones I had trouble with had done 115 to 120k miles and I think were originals. When it did it the first time I thought I had a flat tyre because it vibrated so much! Good luck

    4.7 V8 running rough

Morning, Several answers from my experience. The battery disconnect matter, when reconnected both of my cars I have had needed the ignition left on after conection to recognise the chip in the key I am lead to believe. The rough running, does it feel like a vibration when going along and need a...

    Toyota reverse sensors

Well thats fixed! The LPgenius had disconnected the earth to it when fiddling in the space the jack should live in! Got the dreadful noise and evrything back now! Have also discovered that there is a volume control for it when I have had enough of it! Combination of that and the hearing aids...

    Toyota reverse sensors

Hey Warren & John, Some of that makes sense now! When the fellow fitted the gas filler he wanted to put it in the body and that means the easiest place he can get at! The jack & tools were in the boot loose when I got it back, so either he has dislodged something or I have when trying to find a...

    Toyota reverse sensors

They still worked after fitting the towbar, I was surprised how little they pick up when a trailer is hitched! But Warren has a valid point. They do not make the beep noise when reverse is engaged, but I cannot recall when this stopped? I think it was after the LPG system was fitted as I do...

    Toyota reverse sensors

My recently new to me 100 V8 has the parking sensors in the bumper. I am not that keen on them, but they did work when I got it, discovered today that they now do not work. Any clues where to start looking to solve it as this is type of thing is new to me and do not have a clue what to start...

    4.7 V8 MPG for Petrol & Gas?

Morning all, I am just back into ownership of a wonderful V8 100 and wondered what fellow users have to say about economy/MPG? My last one was a 98 R plaste V8. This would do around 13mpg on LPG, 16 MPG on Unleaded This one is a 2000 W plate and having run it for three or so weeks on Unleaded...

    100 Series, Petrol v Diesel

Hey Dude, No I brought a different one on ebay a few weeks back, its a 2000 W plate. I brought it knowing it had some issues, the main of them now fixed. It is in having the exhaust manifold gaskets done as one is blowing and whilst it is there I thought I may as well do them both. The last...

    100 Series, Petrol v Diesel

I have to agree with Dark Dude on the V8 matter. I have not owned a diesel, but have driven one and I prefer the V8. My last one I had for three years, it was run on LPG for that time. I had no issues with valve wear, did have issues with rubbish gas conversion and other items worn out along the...

    Mystery fabrication

Andy if the walls are solid brick or block some resin anchor type product and some threaded stud and nuts is the way to go, will not pull that out the wall! DISCO 4 - Interesting reading

I have only ever had one Landcruiser, which was brilliant and I am planning another one very soon. Am I doing the wrong thing?

Hello, I am still without a 100, but actively looking for a new to me one. I hope to get another V8. Retrofiting a Air Lift System to a LC100

I had this on my last 100. It had ARB bumpers front and rear and the AHC was not that great prior to this. When reversing a trailer into one of the jobs we had, without fail it would drop to the low setting. I tried HD old man emu rear springs, this made it almost unbearable over speed bumps as...

    100 Series, Petrol v Diesel

Initially I had no additional lube to prevent valve wear, due to the installer saying it was not needed! But did get the flashlube kit done sooner after, just the base version as I did not know of the electronic version at the time. On the conversion, this was the first one we had and just...

    100 Series, Petrol v Diesel

Hello, New to the forum but do have views on the subject. My last 100 series was brought to run for the business dragging trailers and my tools of the trade. ARB BUMPER FITTED HAZARDS WONT WORK

Hello, I had the same set up on my previous 100, I did not find an electrical solution, the trailer supplier whose trailer would not work the lights correctly suggested taking out the light bulbs from the main car back indicators. This did solve it, but meant only running with the indicators in...
