    LC5 Sat Nav Camera connection

I used a BEC108 on my LC4 - it just plugged into the back to the satnav. It was a few years ago, but I'm sure it was a 4-pin connector. I didn't have to make any other connections - the camera powered straight from the head unit.

    Buying an LC with £4.5k

Injector seals on 120s should have been done as a customer campaign (ref 1613G if I remember correctly), which also included dropping the sump if the seals showed any evidence of seal blowby. I seem to recall it affected 120s from 2004 to 2008. A few people even had new engines. But not all...

    Buying an LC with £4.5k

PS. I hate to say it on a landcruiser forum, but the Mk2 Shogun/Pajero was also a class act, and might be worth a look. I note you already have a surf? The later surfs are basically a 90-series but with only 5 seats.

    Buying an LC with £4.5k

Yes, the 'baby' landcruisers (90, 120, 150 etc) were called Prado in most parts of the world. It would have been sensible to have called them that here too! On the 120, LC2 was the bottom spec up to LC5 at the top. If you come across a 120 invincible, they were initially based on the LC4...

    oil pressure gauge

A chap on pradopoint came up with some pods to go on the A pillar. Not sure if they're still available. Also not sure whether they conflict with the airbags. http://postimage.org/image/1bl7app9g/

    Fuel consumption

What to look for when buying? The most important thing is that there isn't any blowby past the injectors. The best way to be sure is to find out whether its been in on the recent customer campaign (1613G) to get them checked and if necessary replaced. What happens is that the copper seals at...

    Fuel consumption

I agree - 25-28 mpg long term average. I've sometimes done 30+mpg on a trip but that's only when the traffic has been heavy and I've been doing about 60mph fairly constantly. Towing the caravan I get about 20mpg, but I do tend to press on a bit.

    MOT Woes

Last time I looked, they were available in Australia but not here. I'm very happy with my GG AT2s, but I do run them at around 36psi to avoid shoulder wear on the fronts.

Oil advice and recommendations from oilman

OK. I have a question I'd love some advice on. I need to grease the propshaft on my 2007 120-series LC4 3.0 diesel. It ahs grease nipples and I have an air compressor, so was planning to get an air greaser. But what grease would you recommend?

So - what has gone wrong on your 120??

What's gone wrong with my 120 ... Slight 'bump from behind' - propshaft needed greasing (and when a hint of it started coming back, Toyota fitted a new propshaft). Injectors were getting a bit noisy - changed under warranty That's it. 4.5 years old now.

    Recovery Points

Is my rear towbar normally considered a suitable recovery point if I'm going along to play days? And are the eyes at the front suitable, or do I need to fit something more substantial? I was wondering about fitting a watling front towbar (would be useful for my caravanning too). Rated at...

    Rims/wheels

I tried to find some 17" steel wheels when I bought my LC 3.5 years ago. I gave up. They didn't seem to be available at the time. Some 16" wheels fit, with possibly a bit of grinding needed on the callipers. There was a thread about it on pradopoint at the time.
