Evenings gentlemen and ladies,
It's being a while since my last post. Nearly a year and a half to be exact.
I was the owner of a 120 but sold it as my other half was expecting our 3rd, I thought I was doing the right thing by selling her and getting a more cheaper car to run as my mileage had...
In Tesco this morning picking up a torch there was a 2lt foam fire extinguisher spray canister for £5.00. The name was something like Pyroco.
It said it was suitable for paper, wood etc and liquid based fires eg gasoline.
I know this is a fairly good price and was tempted to get some for...
Evenin' all,
I want a couple of torches for the cruiser, one a hand torch and the other torch one of those strip lights with a hook and magnets for engine work etc.
I came across the Folsom torches in tescos but they are a lot cheaper than the energiser brand.
I don't mind shelling out for...
Its a legal requirement as it needs to be lit up so it can be read by the police and the ANPR system.
I haven't heard about anyone being done over here in northern Ireland for it but maybe the police in England see it differently.
I'm not very knowledgeable about electrics but would it be...
I think we frustrated yourselves in the first half then come the second half ye did it to us.
It was close and in our grasp but that try did the damage no matter what penalties we got.
Well hopefully I'll be at the next lincombe andwe can drink copious amounts of nectar while discussing the...
Like I said in an earlier thread this site has a lot less members but a lot more traffic. And a question gets answered within hours not days.
Oh and I got a Toyota mug as well.
Cheers
Phil
I haven't needed it and hopefully won't be needing any recovery assistance but there is always that maybe.
On the renewal form they showed themselves to be a lot cheaper than all the biggies but I would go down south a bit and was thinking if there would be any advantages.
I'm thinking that...
Mods, not sure if it goes here.
When I bought my lc3 last year I received Club Toyota, the renewal is in and am wondering is it worth £64 for the year.
Cheers
Phil
As the asks are they any good as I see the little bottles on offer in tescos occasionally so just wondering if any one uses them.
A small bottle does 60 ltrs of diesel according to the label.
It would add about £10 - £15 per monthly fuel costs but I could live with that if its good for the...
Got it slightly wrong, its when I come out of a topic such as this one and back into the lounge I end up down the bottom.
Haven't quite figured how to send links yet:oops:
Hope you enjoyed your hols.
Phil
I had a few minutes to kill so was just pricing the ferries, around about the £200 mark.
I know there were others chatting before about going so will keep tur eyes open.
Phil
Hearing about Lincomb and seeing all the photos, YouTube etc. because I wasn't there so I feel all left out and a bit of a :music-tool:
I wasn't planning on going until the year after next but if you wouldn't mind getting dates sorted for next May that would be perfect.:text-thankyoublue...
When I go into a forum eg The Lounge I always end up at the bottom of the page and have to keep scrolling up, nothing serious just a minor inconvenience.
Cheers
Phil
What are you sticking in Gra?
I was in halfrauds a few weeks back looking for a cd multi disc or satnav and when they checked they said there was no filler thingy available so am apparently stuck with the stereo in your picture.
With any luck they fed me a line of tripe.
Phil
They are cheaper because they aren't as wide as the ones you bought but they are longer.
I checked the buyers items for sale list, personally I don't which ones would be better.
Cheers
Phil
I will go in the future but it will be a couple of years as I'm possibly going to Poland next September without SWMBO for a week so don't think life would be worth living.
But as you know all the big stuff is across the water so will have to venture there at some point.
Phil
+1 on Ireland as well. North and south of the border. Was originally from Dublin so can second Zeus for it being over priced though I would keep in mind taking a drive through the Dublin mountains and down through the Wicklow mountains(same mt. range) then as previously suggested about south of...
On that one I would have argued the toss as its their fault. I know where you're coming from in regards the queue but I am fed up to the back teeth of fuel companies taking liberties with us consumers.
Year on year regardless how the demand is they are making hand over fist.
Do you need a pay pal account as I don't have one and don't have a baldie about them.
Enjoy the site and the banter and grateful for the advice so more than willing to donate.
Cheers
Phil
Er em
When is best to use the 3 and L2 on the automatic transmission as I always use the D4 even when I put it into HL to drive on the beach.
Phil
Now that we are one the subject,
I know the H is for driving on sand and snow etc and the L is for towing but when would the central diff (the one turny dial thingy left of the steering wheel)
Ignorance not always bliss
Phil
If you see any advertised up this way let me know as if its nearby I could possibly take a look for you with the assistance of what to look for exactly from other members of the forum.
Phil
I assume you have already tried sourcing one in Ireland inc. north of the border. If not keep an eye on NI carfinder where you will sometimes get the one or two, same with the autotrader app. You can just search on it for up here.
Happy hunting
Phil.
Anything with alcohol, beer, ale, cider, rum, whiskey etc. Not necessarily in that order
Ryan,
Unfortunately Lincomb is unreachable this year but intend going some time.
I see you're from north London, anywhere near Burnt Oak?
Phil
Apologies for the spelling and grammar in my previous post but my HTC has a screen like a spiders web.
Being an Irishman I thought of this forum as a warm friendly pub ideal for a sociable pint or 10 while the other one is like a big empty pub with half a dozen or so lonely souls where the new...
another landcruiser forum ha a shed load more members but there doesn't seem to be many recent posts?
Is that the one where people have been banned from previously?
Cheers
Phil
That's unfortunate considering the journey to see it but at least you know.
How long have you been looking because if it hasn't been to long hold out for a month or two to see what else pops up.
Phil
Cheers Andy,
As a bit of a guesstimate, how much time will all that take?
Have you taken your cruiser off the road to do it or are you doing it in stages and how much dinitrol will you be needing?
And lastly how man years and or mileage would I get out of it?
There's nothing on my chassis so...
