did you take the whole belt out of its reel then shayne? or just unwind it as much as possible and soak that bit? sounds like a good idea

Thanks guys, but unfortunately the second eye of the buckle is a real problem. Its so tight that i cant get the belt through in any way other than straight. very frustrating.

Ok, so im sure you all know how this is done so its another silly and basic question from me. Had to replace the drivers seatbelt after a mechanic put the third row seatbelt in there incorrectly. Got it in just fine and it works but the buckle is flipped and for the life of me, i cant get it...

been fiddling about with trim, replacing one of my rear 'air vent'? things Took off rear interior trim and revealed a LOT of rust around my wheel well..gonna have to do some more digging around to see just how bad it all is.

ok in the light of day, all is fixed... horribly embarrassing to be honest :o basically the mechanism to move the seat back was out of sync. It was on the furthest position back on one side and the closest on the other. Which is why it looked twisted and, of course, wouldnt line up...I feel...

Drivers seat has finally given up the ghost and has no support in the upper left shoulder area. Will be buying a second hand seat but until then, can I just swap the passenger seat with the broken drivers seat? Stuck at work this morning and cant get at the car to see if the mounts are the same...

yap i mean the black hard stuff. my weird carpet sponge stuff was very waterlogged in drivers footwell (where this pic was taken)...but most is still attached the the carpet..which needs a bloody good clean. just a bit worried about all these bubbles. dry ice would be cool but dont have any...

Ive had the carpets up and just wondering what the liner all over the floor is? I assumed sound deadening material of some kind. Slightly worried because a section of it is extremely bubbled which makes me worry if something bad is happening underneath. Do any of your 80's have bubbling in this...

aha..thats very good to hear. so what did you actually do with the welder? i dont think i have any captive surroundings left so i will have to rebuilt them somehow..unfortunately i cant weld so will try and find a mobile welder....and use this as an excuse to buy myself a mig welder and learn...
