Its a very long shot i guess but im wondering if anyone has a complete Old Man Emu suspension Kit for a 60 for sale (shocks and springs). I would take just the springs if someone had a second hand set.
I would prefer the medium/heavy duty ones.
Anyway like i say its a long shot but worth asking...
Hi Andy,
Well i was hoping to get some steels the same as i have, i need a set to get shotblasted and powder coated to get a new set of rubber on. I will then take the best two on the LC now and use those two as spares to carry BUT its not vital they are identical i guess. What do you have...
Hi,
Im looking for a set of 4 or at least 2 steel wheels to suit a 60 series.16"... Not sure it they are the same as any other Landcruisers, but im sure someone will know.
Not too fussed conditionwise as they are to be shot blasted but not too rusty prefered.
Im located in Gloucestershire but...
Hi Andy, Yes Please if you can get a set repro'd or at least a rough cost on the possibility of getting a batch or individual one done then i will be very interested. Be nice to paint the LC and put them back properly as they are not in great condition on mine.. Pm me what you find out. Thanks Mark
Thanks, very good points.. im not sold on doing it, also the expense of doing it too is a big factor. To be honest the money would be better spent on a front axle rebuild and a radiator recore but we shall see.
Thanks too on the carbon monoxide point ... will do.
Thanks Moggy, it looks like a great starting point. Do you have a build thread on here?
Are you going to try and keep the stickers on your car? Is this colour combination of stickers available anywhere as i would ultimatly like to paint mine and not have to paint round the stickers?
Cheers
Mark
Thanks Gents, sorry i dont get on here that much but really appreciate the comments!
@Leopard ..Well i did get the eberspacher working fine but then it stopped... not got to checking out why yet tbh (probably my wiring ). Mine is a 24v one and i got a fair few spares with it so i will...
Thanks Gents.
So things may have gone cold on this thread but things certainly have got very cold on the Landcruiser front recently.....
More building and more testing to the tune of just arriving home after 2300 mile snowboarding trip over a week to Austria on Sunday.

Thanks Gents..
Well been working on the truck now and then, mainly bits of paint here and there. Started on a roll bar for the inside, very basic just to prevent the roof coming down in a low speed turn over but while its installed (see pic below) its far from finished.
I borrowed a pipe...
On Sat i made a couple of temporary brackets for the roof tent so we could use it over the break, i will replace with a full length roof rack soon enough i hope..
Quick Christmas day checking it out:occasion-xmas:
Very Kind Andy and without doubt i would not have got it done if you hadnt been so kind in letting me chop sections of the scrap 60. So thanks again!
Its been extremely hard to get it done to be honest. Half killed me if im honest... i have to travel a 130 miles round trip to work and the truck...
Sorry to answer Bens question, staying the same colour. im going to do the final bodywork on the bits i have repaired as its just red oxide over steel at the moment so i need to do it soon and then just blow those parts in. The landcruiser has been painted in parts everywhere as part of old poor...
Thanks Gents, yeh im real pleased with it.
Not all the jobs got finished as i was out of time, drivers door still needs to come off to finish the new lower i grafted off the other door. That door had rotted out corners but the rest was better than i had so i swapped the bottom on to mine. I...
Im very sorry to say that a few things have progressed a little and i just have not had time to update this thread, literally no time at all between work and restoring the truck.. i worked on the 60 every evening and every weekend except 2 in December with many gone midnight and the last two...
