    Colorado Fuel Filler Pipe required..

Hi Chris, that's a good point. I have been thinking that myself. I was considering cutting out the bit that's really bad and painting the rest with rust-eating hammerite. Seems that the area behind the cover is prone to bunging up with all kinds of crap from the road as I had to dig the pipe...

    Colorado Fuel Filler Pipe required..

Hi folks. After noticing some diesel dripping away after filling up the bus,it turns out that the fuel filler pipe has corroded away to porous heaven. If anyone has one lying around (which is structurally sound) for a 1999 3 litre diesel colorado, can you pm me your contact details pleeeeaase...

Heat Shot, the after-market heated windscreen washer system

Excellent description Roger. I can see it all clearly now. Sometimes my old brain just takes a bit of a kickstart to get moving properly.

Heat Shot, the after-market heated windscreen washer system

Very clever ideas. Having not attempted this kind of thing before, could you possibly draw a "numpty" diagram to show how the heat exchanger would be plumbed in to the system. I'm guessing the main feed would from the heating pipe would pass through the exchanger and continue on its merry way...

Lights coming on when switched off

May be worth spraying some contact/switch cleaner in the switch itself. If there is any corrosion or dirt in switches they can cause mayhem. My old frontera was a friggin nightmare when it came to the indicators more or less pleasing themselves. Just a thought, if its just the headlights...

    New horse in the stable..

Actually they are quite good. I was intending on putting them on anyway so to have them come with the truck was a bonus. Yep a good rack is a must methinks. Had roof bars on my old fronty and it's amazing how handy they are for everyday use such as visits to B&Q for that oversized sheet of...

    New horse in the stable..

Here's a few pics Sorry for the delay, christmas and all that entails. Been busy on the inside and will add a few more pics when it stops raining (who would have thought it would be raining in Scotland). The rack is not very good and is made from wood and other bits and will have to...

    New horse in the stable..

I have a JVC KD-DB52 which I bought around 3 months ago to put in my peugeot 406. It's a terrific unit and plays almost anything as well as linking up to the ipod. Halfords were selling them for £150-ish at the time, reduced from over £300. Don't understand why it has a remote control though as...

    New horse in the stable..

Turns out it must have been wet from shoes and rubber mat holding the water in. Removed the mat and its all dried up. Happy days. Terrific car so chuffed to bits with it. Just need to swap the stereo for a DAB so I can get Absolute 80's blasting out.:dance: Will post up some pics soon...

    New horse in the stable..

Well folks, picked up my Landcruiser 3.0 yesterday. 152000 on the clock but pulls like a train. Very happy with it. Only problem I have found is the drivers side carpet is a bit wet (not sodden, but wet). I'm guessing this is not the matrix as it's usually the passenger side that gets drenched...

Long term damage to engine when running NEW veg oil/diesel?

Very true OG. Saving a few pounds could amount to losing a few more pounds.

Long term damage to engine when running NEW veg oil/diesel?

Hi guys, I would be very interested in the effects too. Like Nigel says, it seems to be something of a minefield as it always comes down to personal belief. It would be good to hear from the guys who use it. I have also heard of folk adding pre-heaters and such into the fuel line system and...

    Colorado question from a newbeeeeeeeeee

So it would in theory be possible to run one deep cycle for toys/fridges etc and the other for cranking....hmmm! Do you think the bus would require a wiring upgrade to deal with the new battery or would it still charge up as normal from the alternator using the original wiring. Have to keep the...

    Colorado question from a newbeeeeeeeeee

Thanks for the rapid response Tony. May just need that cold starting pack up in sunny Scotland (hitting minus 4 the other night). Second battery will be handy for electronic gadgets though.

    Colorado question from a newbeeeeeeeeee

Hi folks, Just joined the forum having skulked in the background for a while. I have a wee question regarding the 90 namely why do some of them have one battery whilst others have two? The one I am looking at buying has two (which has to be better for kids DVDs etc). Just wondered if it was for...

    Hello folks..

Hi Gav, I am looking at a 3.0 Colorado 1999. I know its the 90 and some folk have their favourites, however I can get one for a fairly good price and I'm sure if taken care of it will be pretty well bomb proof. Regards, Gazzbo

    Hello folks..

Thought I would best say "Hi" to everyone on board. I have been skulking around the site for a while now as I am in the process of picking up a Cruiser and wanted to fill my head with as much info as possible before taking the plunge. I am no stranger to a socket set as I have owned a LWB...
