Hi Folks
Anyone got a recommendation for a source of finding part numbers for HDJ80R Parts?
I get the impression from my local Toyota dealer that part numbers are subject to the official secrets act!
Regards to all
Same here. Lots of fretting over burning smell many years ago and was advised to investigate the intake heater relay. It was a charcoaled lump so removed it and insulated the connections. I was told that we rarely got temperatures in the UK that would require the intake heating and I can confirm...
Hi Shayne, thanks for your help, but it looks like they are fine.
Now that I have them out of the packaging it is obvious that chapel gate and the other guys are correct that they are for both sides. It was the FR & RR on all of them that made me think they were wrong
It was ages ago that I got...
Hi Chaps,
I did not want to open the packing so that I could swap or sell them but having unpacked them I can see that you are correct and they are "handed" correctly
It was the FR & RR on all of them that made me wrongly assume they were all for the right hand
Thank you all so much for your...
Hi Shayne
As far as I can see, (only by looking and measuring), there is only approx. 75mm difference between the front and back channels of the rear windows.
I was tempted to see if it makes much difference and put the rear nearside one in back to front.
The fronts are obviously completely...
Hi chapel gate
Copy of my reply
Hi Shayne
I got mine through a forum member that I think had a contact in Europe, (I think maybe a German Toyota dealer)
It was many years ago, and I sat on the parts for over 4 years before first going to fit them
However I have got two right hand drivers and...
Hi chapel gate
I was late replying as I was trying to find the picture attachment button!
Anyway, my previous post details the numbers and descriptions and I am pretty sure by looking at them that they are all right hand side
Cheers
Greg
Hi everyone,
A long while ago I purchased a set of door window rubbers channel replacements through the forum
When I set about doing the work I found to my horror that I was duped and I got two sets of offside parts, (someone was having a clear out I assume!)
The windows on my 80 are awful now...
Hi,
Since new I have used Michelin 275/70/16's on my 80.
In the last couple of years I became more aware that the truck steering seemed vague and had a tendency to follow road imperfections and continuous steering wheel movement would be required to keep it on track.
I gave it to an expert and...
The current drain has gone from 200mA down to 80mA, with the Alarm connected, now that the relay is removed.
I think this is similar to what jon Wildsmith said was the reading on his vehicle.
When I got to the relay it was soaking wet.
The actual location must be near some drain route from the...
Towpack you are a Star!
Removed the Battery and tray and followed the burning smell and there was the sorry looking relay just as you said.
It was well on it's way and most likely would have ended up burning or blowing something.
I am going to have to replace the feed cable as well as the...
Definately getting a burning smell from around the front offside wheel.
I have smelt this months ago and thought it was my imagination but it was confirmed by a friend of mine yesterday.
The Landcruiser's in for AC repairs today and as soon as it's back I am locating this relay and checking...
Got an almost identical drain problem on mine.
Do you mean your battery drain is back to 45mA having removed the window mod?
Posted details of my situation earlier and hope some one may come up with a suggestion or direction for further investigation.
Regards
Greg
I wonder if anyone can help concerning a strange current drain on my 1996 80 series?
Last weekend I woke all my neighbours up in the early morning when the alarm triggered on it's backup battery because the batteries had gone flat, and really FLAT, as in 650mV.
I recharged the batteries and...
Hi Folks,
My AC compressor clutch bearing failed and screwed up the front shaft.
Anyone got a failed unit with clutch in good condition, or even a complete new unit, please message and let me know how much you need.
Cheers
Hi Folks
Looks like one of the VSV valves on my 80 got the connector snapped off...glued on...then snapped off again and then covered in Araldite :shifty:
Lets not worry who did it... erhmm.
The performance is embarrasingly snail like up to 2000 revs, I would say pedestrian only pedestrians are...
