Thanks for replying, just got it so don't know when the ATF was last changed, level is ok. Will change fluid and see if it makes a difference.

My 1hd-t auto has a problem climbing steep hills from standstill. It's also sluggish moving off from junctions etc. Once up and moving, it pulls very strongly once the turbo kicks in. Any idea what the issue could be? Cheers!

Hi Gabe, The stalling on hills could be a pump issue (if I remember correctly) , it's fairly common and well documented on Australian forums. Is your idle rpm the same on a slope as it is on flat ground?

Hi all, Finally got an 80-series cruiser (1hd-t VX, Jap import) after a few classic Range Rovers. Let's see how things go lol. I'm in Kenya where the terrain can get pretty rough, hope the 80 doesn't let me down. Be prepared for loads of newbie questions. Cheers!

Hi guys, is the fuelling on UK spec diesel 80s controlled by the ecu? The ones here in Kenya are mostly Jap imports and purely mechanical.
